The environment is welcoming and the staff are very helpful. My interactions with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Social Services were very positive. The response times and attention to details show they really care about their residents.

We recently toured Blumenthal for a family member and was pleasantly surprised at this facility. The building is in a central location to Greensboro and you can tell all rooms and facilities were held to a high standard of cleanliness and care. The staff were all so welcoming and polite to the residents and us as visitors. The different therapists answered all our questions and concerns and we left the building feeling very at ease with our tough discussion of where to send our loved one for rehab. The refreshed painted rooms, beautiful courtyard areas for visits, and various activities planned for all definitely make you feel at home. The Admin was so kind and made sure we had all of the information and resources offered here and available to our family. We appreciate her kindness and are eager to visit again!

This was a fantastic and honestly refreshing positive tour of the facility for my aunt - immediately upon arrival you notice the attention to detail on decor, and pleasant smiling faces making it feel like home. We took a tour last week and staff was friendly/welcoming. The therapy staff seemed fantastic and was able to answer our questions in detail which was refreshing. We worked with Admin throughout the visit and she went over the top with information and super delightful. We will absolutely be choosing Blumenthal for our Aunts care!

My desired score is 1.5 stars. My mom was a Blumenthal resident for almost five years. She passed August 31, 2025, and I wanted to allow myself time to grieve and process before writing a review. While there were many staff members (clinical and non-clinical) who truly cared about the residents' well-being, the majority did not. From a new administrator, who wasn’t introduced to family and had a nonchalant disposition, to the hall staff members who would let my mom lay in a soiled diaper from the night before until 4:00pm the next day, it was a daily battle. I was at the facility oftentimes two to three times per day, so they knew I was coming, and still mom received minimum to no care. Some CNAs and nurses reeked of marijuana and would leave the campus throughout their shift. I was even forced to call 911 once, and the staff were advised not to give us necessary paperwork for the ER, but we were able to be treated at Moses Cone Hospital. Overall, like most places, you have good and bad seeds. Thankfully, my mom doesn’t have to worry about such abuse anymore, and my thoughts are with those residents left at the hands of a company concerned with numbers and not humanity. To those who did their jobs and cared for mom, you were/are appreciated, and we as a family showed you that. As for the others, I sincerely pray that you or your loved ones never experience what we endured. If your loved one needs to live there, consider yourself to have another full-time job of making sure your loved one is treated properly.

We have been satisfied with the rehab experience and our expectations have been met and exceeded in many areas. Our check-in was on a Fri evening, we were pleasantly surprised that OT and PT conducted weekend assessments. The admin staff provided welcome bags and stopped by to greet Mom. Staffing Overview:Therapy-OT/PT teams are phenomenal. They work effectively as a team. My mother's strength and confidence have noticeably improved. The therapists welcome family members to observe sessions and provide explanations to support the continuation of techniques at home. Their expertise enables my mother to optimize her self-care abilities and perform daily activities with greater independence and practical skills. They are Top notch!!! -Doctors: Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Steve both demonstrated excellent bedside manners. They provide explanations in a clear manner. They pay attention and acknowledge her concerns. One day I arrived for a visit, and they were both in Mom’s room working on her breathing machine and helping to get it adjusted. I feel they went above and beyond to help their patients. -Nursing Staff: CNA and Nurses assisted Mom with meals, baths, bedding, and personal care. Nurses assisted with medication. When Mom started having nasal issues one night, the nurse added a humidifier to her oxygen machine the very next morning. The nursing staff is very gentle and caring toward Mom. They do so much – and have positive attitudes! -Social Work Team: Ms. Megan/Team were super helpful with assisting with transitioning and preparing for returning home. She gave us a lot of feedback and clarity about resources. Overall -Food: there was a good variety. It’s hard with food because people have different taste pallets. However, I felt the presentation and overall options were good. -Stocking/Supplies: There were select toiletries we chose to bring from the house. However, the facility had a staff member that ensured Moms room was stocked. -Cleanliness: They consistently remove trash throughout the day. The room and bathroom are always clean. There were no smells or concerns. The entire center was clean. -Wait Time: After ringing the bell, there may be a brief wait for assistance. Typically, staff will arrive promptly to assess your needs or need to come back. I think wait times were reasonable because they communicated with Mom about next steps. Areas for improvement: -Parking availability appears limited during the afternoon. Some furniture in the patient’s room, like nightstands and décor, shows visible wear (not in a manner that takes away from functioning). The front desk could improve with enhanced speaker and door systems. At times, the nursing staff seems overextended and would benefit from increased staffing (like most businesses). Additionally, the center could use more bariatric equipment to accommodate a range of body sizes. I think these may be areas they are already working to address however, they were areas I noticed. Not Observed-The facility offered a calendar & social activities. However, due to our own personal interests and choices we did not really participate in those activities so I cannot really speak to them or provide more information about them. Overall: No place is going to be like home, but we were super pleased with the Blumenthal Rehab Center. My Mom was happy and enjoyed the staff and the facility. The rooms are spacious and The center was always clean and very inviting. The location was ideal, quiet and yet accessible. They are very welcoming to visitors. The largest asset the facility has is the staff. They really have some good folks working here. I recommend arranging a tour of the facility. It is preferable for loved ones to be independent or able to be home with family. However, when rehabilitation or nursing support is required, it is reassuring to know that patients are receiving proper care and that staff are attentive to their well-being. We were very pleased and rate Blumental 5-star with no hesitation.
