Serving of food at meals is fantastic but the quality of food and the way the kitchen waits until the last minute to share the menu illustrate some poor practices of the head of the kitchen....manager and activities director and musician are stellar.

It can be overwhelming to decide on suitable retirement living for a parent. We were fortunate to find Carolina Estates! The first time I visited CE was to just ask questions. I was promptly greeted with Millie's smile and enthusiasm! Returned for a second visit to explore apartments. We were then helped by Cassie with a smile and her patience! Cassie took my parent& myself to see several apartments until we found what suited us.(My parent,now a resident for 3 months.) Millie and Tommy (managers at Carolina Estates)as well as Cassie(Community Sales)have taken the extra effort to ensure we received everything needed to get acclimated to the new residence. Millie, Tommy& Cassie have been available countless times to help with whatever was needed after moving in. Melissa, a newer member to the mgmt team,as well as the cafeteria staff at CE, have all been very welcoming. The residents have been welcoming and supportive. Carolina Estates Independent Living also has Legacy Therapy on the premises. Legacy has provided my parent with an outstanding therapy team. Nursing help can also be provided through outside companies already established with this CE location. Carolina Estates provides an inviting and caring environment.

Carolina Estates is a wonderful, warm and welcoming place. Both the staff and the residents greeted us with open arms. Bringing my mom to this new place, she was nervous to be where she does not know anyone. Within 2 hours, she had people saying hello and welcoming her to eat or play cards! The facilities are beautiful and clean, and the rooms are as well. The meals are Very Good, with choices for all meals,and delicious! I was most impressed by the community. I listened as residents at breakfast wondered where their neighbor was that morning, and went to check on them. This is the place my family had hoped to find for my mom, and she is settling in with a smile.
