My aunt is a resident of Bluestone healthcare in Bluefield West Virginia. Today she was assaulted by a man who has claimed to have dementia. He has assaulted her three or four times in the last couple weeks with a wheelchair, throwing snacks at her physically and verbally assaulting her pissing in the floor at her feet and several other places getting into nurse's personal belongings and throwing them numerous accounts. I have tried to talk to the nurses and the supervisors which they tried to contact James but he wouldn't even call me back to address the issue. The police escorted me out of the business earlier today then advised me to go take warrants for this man. I can't do it until Monday, but I'm going to have a restraining order then. I'm going straight to a lawyer's office and see if we can't file some kind of suit against this company for neglect. This is when on long enough and I've documented everything and recorded every conversation I've had with these ladies so they can't lie about me

My brother was there. I say was cause he is in the hospital now on a breathing machine because of this place. My brother asked for 2 days and I called them to get them to call a ambulance and they wouldn't do. He finally got to the hospital cause he had a doctor's appointment and told them he needed to go to the hospital. I call this place a hell hole. My brother could have died because of bluestone...

This facility has care. You can tell the leadership of the facility values care. You can tell the staff value care. It does not feel like a place. When you walk in, you can tell the staff care and make the patients feel at home. Is it the newest? No. But it is care. From the food that comes out of the kitchen. To the CNAs in the room. To housekeepers cleaning the rooms. It is smiles. It is caring. It is a person lives here. A person they take care of. I have eaten their stuffed shells and they are good. The food is good. Tasty. The patients are up walking. With several different people. They are doing Activiities. BINGO. Playing cards. Sitting on the front porch. The CNAs know the patient routine. And they know when something is just off. They care. Everyone (for the most part) seems to truly care for everyone. That is fostered. The leadership has worked to craft a place of true caring and helpfulness. Comfort. Home.
