Blue Ridge Christian Homes

Blue Ridge Christian Homes is a not-for-profit assisted living community offering total assist care and age-in-place services through the end of life in Bealeton, Virginia. Founded in 1975 on a family dairy farm and still family owned and operated, the community applies Christian principles of care in small, home-like, rural settings under family oversight.

The community specializes in personalized care routines developed for each resident to ensure consistency and accountability. Staff are fully employed and never supplemented by temporary agencies, maintaining close proximity to residents in small facilities. Families are welcomed without visiting restrictions, and residents are free to go out for meals, drives, or special events and vacations with family members.

Dining is a central part of community life, with staff eating meals alongside residents at shared tables in a warm setting. All food is home-cooked daily, and light snacks and hydration are offered between meals at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. The kitchen remains open for additional food and drinks as desired. Residents contribute nearly 9,000 meals annually to staff while enjoying multigenerational company.

The living room serves as the heart of activities and events throughout the week, converted as needed into a chapel, movie theater, or concert venue. Residents personalize the space with recliners brought from home. Regular activities include game nights, movie nights, and poem readings, along with visits from alumni families and community members who share talents and time.

Spiritual life is supported through four weekly services: Tuesday evening Bible study, Wednesday morning chapel, Saturday evening song service, and Sunday morning worship. Many pastors and teachers have ministered at the community for decades. The Jacobs Family Bluegrass Band, among other alumni families, performs regularly, continuing long-standing connections to the community.
