Please get rid of your "director of nurses". My dad has been at this home for about 2.5yrs. He's been on hospice the entire time for end stage dementia. He is currently on oxygen and morphine, choking, and having difficultybreathing. We don't expect my dad to be here to much longer. The 2 stars is only because the nurses and cna's have been great with my dad. Some even call him "grandpa". I truly appreciate them. If it hadn't been for them I would've gave no stars. Now, if you know someone with dementia you know they can have anger issues. This home tried to have my dad moved to another facility about 2 months ago. The facility was a REGULAR RETIREMENT HOME where people lived independently. When I called the facility to get their information, they said they had no idea my dad had dementia and that he couldn't care for himself and that Bethel administration never mentioned that. Bethel has been trying to get rid of my dad for a while now because he hasn't gotten along with his roommates so they haven't been able to keep a roommate in his room with him. We can't afford a private room. Now that my dad is about to pass away we've been going to be with him so he's not alone. My dad has 4 kids and lots of grandkids. The director of nursing talked to my sister (in front of our other family members) today and said when they put another person in the room that only 2 people can visit my dad at a time. My sister and niece got upset (understandably) because, how can you tell someone they can't all be with their dad at the same time when he's dying. The director of nurses told my sister and niece "well you can always take him home or have him transferred to another facility". My sister was livid and now so am I. How heartless of a person to say something like that to people that are watching their father die? And why, because your loosing money on the unoccupied bed (like we were previously told)? Well I'm sorry my dad hasn't died quick enough for you! The director of nurses should find a new line of work because she obviously has no compassion or bed side manner at all! Thank you to the nurses and cna's for treating my dad with kindness and compassion! I will be filing a formal complaint against the director of nurses with the board of nursing and the state. I will also be filing to have an internal review of this facility with the state. If needed I will also be filing a civil lawsuit against Bethel for the mental anguish and for them trying to send my dad to another facility that was not equipped to care for him and for falsely representing my dad's medical condition and needs.

Heather and the entire staff (shout out Lafe in maintenance) at Bethel have been so kind, gracious and helpful of my family who are residents there. We have had such a positive experience there and know our family is cared about, not just being cared for.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Heather. She has truly gone above and beyond in caring for my mother at the nursing home. From making sure her medications are always taken care of, to helping her transition smoothly into a new room, Heather has been there every step of the way with kindness, patience, and compassion. Not only has Heather been incredible, but the entire facility and nursing staff have been such a blessing. The nurses are attentive, professional, and truly dedicated to their residents. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and provides an environment where we feel confident and at peace knowing my mother is in good hands. We are so grateful for the care, compassion, and support they provide every day.

My mother-n-law just recently became a new resident at this facility. There is something so special about this place the moment you walk in. I can't find the right words to explain the feeling I think and know it's the people that work here makes it special. I want to thank everyone. God bless you all.
