Was excited at first to get my mom placed here for rehab. The first night started our downhill venture when I saw the aide drag her oxygen cord nose piece across the dirty floor and then was going to stick it back in her nose with out cleaning it. They were supposed to be applying cream to keep an infection at bay that the hospital had just cleared up. This didn't happen and when we were released the rash was coming back. Upon her release, she ended up in the hospital within 12 hours due to congestive heart failure and a extremely bad UTI. My mother would complain that she would ask for something and no one would bring it or she would be left sitting in a chair for hours and her feet would swell terribly and then she couldn't walk. Don't get me wrong some of the staff were good, but believe they are under staffed and a lot of them you see sitting around and eating.

As an outsider, who visits Bethany frequently, I can say, that when compared to other local facilities, I have never seen a facility as well run as Bethany. The staff really cares about their residents, and in the many times I have been in the facility, I have never seen a resident neglected, or a resident need not addressed. Staff is always friendly, and engaging, and the residents seem happy and involved. These people care. I am certain that there are people who have different experiences with Senior Lifestyle Centers, but what I have seen here, in my experience, is top notch care, an involved staff, and a beautiful cared for facility. I wish my parents had experienced a facility this nice, in their later years.

I don’t fully agree with management and the way they run this place sometimes because 50 residents with one nurse is a bit ridiculous but the night shift team on woodview is AWESOME!!!! Kyba, Julia, and Aaron made sure my night went smoothly. I’ve been an agency nurse for years and never have I seen such an efficient team. Easily the best aides I’ve ever worked with in any facility!

My Day was at this location for almost a year before we had to remove him to a new location. Lower employee pay doesn’t help. Most employees have a very negative attitude towards Bethany and don’t feel appreciated at all. The nursing director Lauren has a horrible attitude.

Jim and I made a wise decision to move to independent living at Bethany 3 years ago. We have a beautiful modern apartment and have made many wonderful friends. We appreciate the bus service provided to various concerts and events. We enjoy the many presentation and concerts here at Bethany. The staff is caring and helpful, and it’s comforting being near nursing care. Moving to Bethany was a gift to our children who know we are in a secure environment and well-cared for. Janet Bolton
