My great grandma was in beehive and the care that was given was the best we could have ever received. The compassion and patience towards my grandma was everything she needed in such a vulnerable state. The end of life care was something my family will never forget, it is still talked about today. The way the staff handled our grieving family after her loss was something every family deserves. We will be using beehive homes for all future needs. They are so caring and devoted to every resident and family involved.

It’s taken me a long time to leave this but I think it should be shared to anyone considering Beehive homes and Honeybee Hospice.
I would not trust this company with the care of a loved one. Weeks after moving in my dad we left for an extended trip. The day we left he was started on multiple new medications without my knowledge or communication. He was sedated round the clock and not woken up for meals, snacks or water per other family and caregivers. Despite one of the aids raising concerns about the over sedation they were reassured it was the care plan. By the time I returned two weeks later my dad had lost over 20 lbs and had a permanent contracture of his neck from how he was left in bed. He was never able to fully look up and it affected the rest of his life and personal interactions. When I met with the owner I was reassured that this over sedation was “a better way to go” than what was to come with his diagnosis.
We immediately requested a transfer of his care at which point they brought forth multiple fees. When I offered to bring my concerns about their care and over-sedation to higher levels for review they backed down.
I hope something changes, but I think this review needs to be seen by anyone considering this facility.
