Looking at Care facilities for my loved one. all the information I see online say dont make appointments as you want to see how the staff is interacting in the home. I tried to stop by and said I would like to tour the facility. The surpised worker wouldnt even let me in the door. In fact, she closed the door tight behind her so I couldn't even look inside. She didnt even ask me why i was looking, about my loved one, offer to walk me around, and she left me standing in the 100 degree heat while she looked for her manager. She innsisted I needed an appointment and couldn't tell me what hours her manager was in. Positive, she gave me a business card. I let her know I was not interested in making an appointment.

I will not be back. If their staff is not even capable of pleasant or understanding conversation or able to even give remedial information about the facility to a potential clients family,, then I would not bring my loved one here.

First impressions Matter!

As a social worker in the Grand Valley for 15 years, I knew when it came time to place my own mother, The Beehive was the only place I would feel comfortable placing her. She spent the last 9 months there and received very good care. The staff are so loving and really care about every resident. The environment feels like a home and allows for privacy and good supervision when needed. My mom enjoyed the home cooked meals soooo much. The cooks are creative and cater to the older population. They also get to know each individual’s likes and dislikes. As my mom came to the end of her life, the staff stepped up and worked closely with Hospice to give my mom excellent end of life care. I highly recommend Beehive homes in Grand Junction.

My dad was, shall we say, difficult. The entire staff did a remarkable job with him. There are no words in any language that can express my gratitude for their level of care. I am in awe of those who care for the elderly and this crew is TOP NOTCH.
