The staff especially at night is verbally abusive. They are physically negligent. There is no physical therapy. They sit you in a wheel chair and leave you there without training or any way of getting up or out and getting back in bed. They wait for shift change and new people are not legally able to help you back in bed is what I was told repeatedly. The director was nowhere to be found when he said he would come yo my room. Another young nurse from another facility just helping went with my husband to go look allover the building for him but the director had left. The call buttons are a joke. They ignore them and yell if you dont stop ringing for help. They yell in your face because they know that you're helpless. They think we are abandoned and if you get visitors the staff pretend until the visitors leave and the show is over. When I was dying, the nurse gave me a medicine that he would not say what it was. He gave me an old oxygen tank that didnt work and told me to wait a day. My lungs were filling with fluids. They knew I had just left the hospital recovering from pneumonia. I begged them to let me call 911. I could hardly function. 1 sweet young girl helped during my panic. She dialed the phone and held it fir me because I was to weak and I could barely speak. The EMTs were in shock at me color and vitals. The facility is the worst. At night they turn up the main TV so that they drown out the cries for help. This place is waiting for patients to die. Please do not let your loved ones stay here. Believe them and listen to them. People here live in fear. They are trapped. I was 45 and almost died twice in the hospital and then almost my final time at this facility. Bad people are everywhere. Most Hospital staff arent much better if you're in critical condition, in a coma or just too much trouble. I almost died from bed sores if the pneumonia was not going kill me. Soeak for your loved ones. Please check on them frequently if you truly care. Also, this facility is extremely dirty. The equipment is there are just from people who have died and donated. A large number of machines do not work. Food is terrible. They add to the insurance bill for thing never received. At least I never did. Its even worse then some floors at the hospital and mind you, they have some of the sane staff so that explained a lot about their practices. If I could give negative infinity stars I would.

This was a pleasant surprise! The entire staff was great! Always accommodating and smiling, from the house keeping crew to the very knowledgeable OT Marcelle, Speech Therapist, Gracie, Medical Nurse, Janice, Nurse Vince, nurse's assistant, Winnie (THE best!), Ramon, Rose, House keeping, Ethan! I can't thank these people enough! I am so glad we chose Beacon Harbor! They accomplished so many things while Mom, Laverne, was admitted. I would definitely use this facility again. I cannot sing their praises enough! It made a bad situation almost pleasant! Thanks to the entire Rehab staff!

I am extremely disappointed with the level of care provided at this facility. My family member was left sitting in urine multiple times and was not properly cleaned or given fresh bedding. Staff reportedly stated that there were no clean sheets available and simply covered the soiled sheets with another sheet instead of changing them. What was especially concerning was that even a physical therapist reportedly stated that they would not place their own family members in this facility because the level of care was not adequate. Patients in a rehabilitation facility deserve dignity, cleanliness, and attentive care. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below those standards. Based on what our family witnessed, I would not recommend this facility.

Beacon harbor is a place to call home for now or home forever. The therapy team is top notch I’ve seen people come in unable and those same leave and able to do what they thought was the unthinkable. The staff is very nice and always attentive to the residents and to each other. The management team is always working to improve and never stopping. The work ethic that the team has is superb! It’s a privilege to be a part of a team that takes initiative that listens and that cares!
