When I first approached my father about his need for assisted-living, he only imagined the worst stereotypes of the past. Cold institutional setting, bad food served in a cafeteria at set times, and an excess of jell-o, people crying at night in pain, etc. It took a lot of effort to have him give Bayberry a chance but the change in his life was immediate.<br><br>Dad began socializing again after years of living mostly alone. He loves the food and raves about the meal options, the ability to get a snack, coffee, or a drink whenever he wants. He has come out of his shell and is a regular at the Bingo table, the evening movie in the theater room, etc.<br><br>A few weeks ago he told me that he was the happiest he has been in years and he wished he hadn't fought me over coming.<br><br>Thank you Hollis and the rest of the staff at Bayberry for making my dad feel right at home.

My Dad has been living at Bayberry for nine years. Bayberry’s staff has been so gentle and caring for my Dad. Even the nursing staff know the residents so well they’ve caught several things very early. Sincerely happy that Dad lives in this community and for the care he has received.

Bayberry has been the best place for my mom. The center isn't really that big, but that's what makes it perfect for my mom who has early Dementia/Alsheimer's. The staff there are the best. So kind and helpful in many ways. So, I feel like she gets a lot of personal attention. Her apartment is a perfect size, and we were able to decorate it like she wanted, so it feels homey to her. The meals are prepared fresh every day, and my mom hasn't complained about the food at all. They schedule different activities throughout the day, and sometimes special things like live music and live performers and special meals to celebrate a holiday.<br>I would highly recommend Bayberry for your loved one if your looking for a place for them to be in.

I can’t say enough good things about Bayberry assisted living community. From the moment my mom moved in, the staff has treated her with genuine kindness, respect, and attention. It’s clear they truly care about the residents—not just meeting their needs, but making sure they feel comfortable, valued, and at home<br>The meals are consistently praised - varied, well prepared and delicious - There are plenty of activities to keep mom engaged and social.  I also really appreciate how the staff keeps me informed and involved—it gives me so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such good hands.<br>I feel incredibly grateful that I found this community. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and caring environment for their family member.
