Can't say enough about the care and patience that was provided to my father. Communication is the key for any family member being cared for and the team was great at keeping us informed. Thank you!

Daily services were provided to a dear family member for a little more than a year. Our family member and we all are grateful for their professional standards which made all the difference: 1. A caregiver was late, in one year, not more than 8 times and when it happened, the agency was on top of it and making sure there was coverage. 2. They did their best to fit the caregiver with their patient and to attempt to assure, as much as possible, consistency in the assigned caregiving. 3. When a new caregiver was assigned, it was never a surprise. The agency made sure to introduce them to their patient ahead of time (and vice versa) giving them time with a current caregiver to learn from them the preferences of the patient; 4. Overall, their level of communication and responsiveness is excellent and compassionate. They never avoid an issue but rather, address it head on and 5. Most all the caregivers became trusted companions over time. Most were respectful and attentive, giving our family member space and making them comfortable in her home and letting her know that they were there for her care, not a guest to be entertained. Every caregiver too, was adept at socializing and mixing in with visitors of our family member and making sure to be engaged to the extent they were invited to do so. This made a great difference. I really respected most caregivers- and when our family member or we felt that an assigned individual was not a good match, they listened and happily and seamlessly (though I know it wasn't easy), worked to improve their choice. We will always be very grateful to the caregivers and agency for their compassionate care. I interviewed 5 agencies prior to engaging this one and despite my making arrangements on very short notice, without stress or missing a beat, they were able to accommodate us and were attentive to every detail related to the care of our family member. I value their transparency, judgment and collaboration with us at every step. I cannot recommend a Place at Home in Chelmsford enough.

There is no way to thank Gary, Marlie, Sarah, Ester, and Leticia enough. Nor can this review adequately express the quality of care and companionship my mom received (peripherally my dad) from APAH. I’m going to try. They came highly recommended to start. And we needed something in place quickly for a lot of hours. Gary made it happen. The folks who supported my mom were excellent. I’m there a lot so I experienced it first hand. I couldn’t have asked for better. Marlie got my mom right away and placed her with companions that were very upbeat and fun like her. My dad got time to heal and worry less. We got some peace of mind. Do not hesitate. My parents have chronic diseases. This was not our first agency for this type of care but this was the best of the best.

A Place At Home provided much needed support to myself and my father during the transitionary period to long term care. Gary was a caring and compassionate person who moved quickly to provide the 24 hour care my father needed. The individuals providing the direct care were polite, courteous and took excellent care of my father. I am so grateful for their support during this difficult time.

While searching for an assisted living facility for my parents I was given a reference to this agency. A Place at Home was very highly recommended by this particular assisted living facility and so I contacted them and interviewed the owners. I was very impressed with their sincere concern for the elderly and especially that they used their caregivers for their own elderly parents. My Dad whose 96 uses 2 caregivers from A Place at Home, 1 during the week and 1 on the weekend. He absolutely loves them and always tells me when we talk on the phone how good they are. Gary the owner has always been right there for my family and I have never had to chase him down for anything when I had a question or needed to change a scheduled day. So, I can’t recommend A Place at Home enough. They walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
