About BAYADA Home Health

BAYADA Home Health provides skilled home health care in Gaithersburg, Maryland, delivering nursing, therapy, and personal care services directly in clients' homes. The organization serves children, adults, and seniors with care coordinated through a dedicated nurse manager and supported by 24/7 on-call availability.

Services include nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and assistance with daily living tasks. Care follows a physician-directed plan and is designed to help patients recover from surgery or illness, manage chronic conditions, and reduce rehospitalization risk. A clinician conducts an initial home assessment to develop a personalized care plan, with visits typically occurring one to two times per week, adjustable as needs change.

Since its founding in 1975, BAYADA has positioned itself as a national leader in home health care, emphasizing compassionate, coordinated service that enables patients to receive care in their own homes. The organization is accredited by Community Health Accreditation Partner for meeting industry standards. Care teams work one-on-one with clients and families to address unique health needs and coordinate closely with patients' health care providers.

Eligibility generally requires a physician referral for skilled care services and that patients be considered homebound, meaning leaving home requires assistance from another person. Most Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries qualify for fully covered services with no out-of-pocket costs, though coverage varies by state and insurance plan. BAYADA verifies insurance benefits and obtains necessary authorizations before care begins.

Attention to all providers!!! This is primary care provider writing you review about most unsafe Home Health company. I would never recommend to refer patient to this company . They are missing our appointments they not answering the calls. You never can reach anybody when you need not and never call you or update you about the patient’s conditions. Physical therapy Never been perform any exercises only typing in the computer. Also, customer service are very aggressive and then answer the questions. One time they just hang up the phone. Please keep your patience safe!!! My patient Currently on the physical therapy And then needed the nurse for the wound care and Agency refused to nurse because they don’t want to walk with me

My mother has been at home rehabbing from a back surgery and we have been extremely pleased with our team from Bayada. RN Sarah, PT Kristen, and OT George, have been wonderful with their communication/interactions with my mother, with us and between each other. I highly recommend them for your home health care needs.

Our Familiy is just beginning the conversation on how to transistion the next step in our Mother's care. I dropped by the Gaithersburg office and was able to have a quick discussion with Marie. Received some knowledge and some ideas to talk over with family. Very helpful office. Thanks
