The residents hanging around outside look horribly cared for. There is currently an extreme heat warning and residents are outside in the heat.

I was homeless for 4 months after my cousin and only friend Anton passed away on his 42nd birthday on July 4th 2025. I got so sick with pneumonia ended up at Advocate General Lutheran Hospital in Park Ridge IL for a week to recover. Then I was placed at Balmoral Nursing home on the north side of Chicago IL on Dec 11th 2025. 164 days at Balmoral were my lifesaver. I had 3 other make roommates 1 of which became a good friend,Pierre Harper. 3 meals a day with options to get my own food whenever l wanted was a very good thing. Medications twice a day to help me stay healthy.i can take a shower anytime I want as long l let the nurses know. All in all, l was treated very well. I am actually surprised if how good everyone was to me and to each other. I got discharged on June 2nd to get my senior apartment at Montclare Senior Residence Lawndale in Chicago IL. Looking forward to a new adventure!!👍🙏😘

You are risking the health of your loved ones in this place. It's like a prison with very outdated equipment and huge problems with supplies. Insect infestations in rooms and hallways as well as dirt in corners. Worst thing of all, residents smoking in their rooms in a facility with oxygen. Admission and nursing staff more concerned with covering up issues instead of addressing them. Be warned..
