Aviva at Fitzsimons is located across from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. The community provides rehabilitation services for individuals recovering from an injury, surgery or other health event, with treatment plans created for each patient's needs and goals by skilled nurses, licensed specialists and healthcare professionals working directly with the patient's physician.
Therapy services address the varying scope of injuries and recovery timelines, offering guidance for those rebuilding mobility, function and communication skills. Licensed specialists also provide comprehensive post-hospitalization care, including wound care, pain management and IV fluid therapy, to help keep patients on track for a return home.
For patients with more complex needs, the Aviva long-term care team delivers resource-intensive, 24-hour care and monitoring over weeks, months or longer, covering injuries, complex medical needs and long-term disabilities. Medically complex care and specialized treatments are also available to keep individuals comfortable and stable as they adjust to a new routine and work toward greater independence.
All patients are offered private accommodations, and the campus features spacious common areas designed to encourage socializing and a sense of community during recovery. Amenities include a putting green and an onsite café, giving patients ways to ease back into everyday activities while working toward their recovery goals.
