I came across Home Instead at a time of need and despite meeting for an "assessment" with 1 of their representatives who took into account all of the needs and requirements of the situation, the service I was given was absolutely horrible! The worker was hired to work the overnight shift, she showed up in no uniform, no mask, said she had inadequate experience for the job, fell asleep twice, had to be physically woken, was rough with the patient and dog, failed to clean patient and then argued when asked to leave after being caught sleeping (literally laying down, covering her face). The response from the company was unacceptable, they never replied to my email sent directly after she left, I had to call the 24 hour line multiple times to report her early dismissal and never got a return call. Further, after calling to follow up on my issue, I was told I wouldn't be charged for the horrible service and then received a text and voicemail message days later confirming further service. I again cancelled, citing an unacceptable initial experience and have now been charged $100 for this abhorrent experience. In short, the company (franchise) lacks in every area and customers would be wise to look elsewhere.

Joanna has been in our home twice. She was ready to dive in and do whatever we asked. Joanna is a bubbly bundle of energy and smiles. I wasn't sure how to organize my husbands speech exercises, she gave me some ideas and we worked out together! From cleaning to organizing to laundry she's got it all figured. She is a pleasure to have in our home. There's lots of laughter when she's here.

Our caregiver, Fatiha is a compassionate, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, hard-working young lady. She co-operates with whatever we ask her to do, and is always cheerful. She drives us to do errands and to appointments, which is a HUGE help to us. I would highly recommend her.
