My stay at the Avenue was great, the staff was wonderful and very caring , activity was amazing, food was very well prepared, the rooms were very clean. I will return in August for rehab after should replacement. THE AVENUE OF BROADVIEUHTS

My father is in this facility and he gets great care. The staff is respectful and caring. I believe that in some cases families have unrealistic expectations and do not listen to recommendations from the medical staff.<br>Then when the issue becomes urgent then it is the facilities fault. If I ever have an issue I take it to the admin. And she addresses it immediately.<br>Families… listen to the medical staff and take responsibility when you choose not to listen!

This place deserves negative stars - they completely neglected and abuse their residents - so many examples of abuse and neglect, too many to list- they should be ashamed of their selves- but no one cares enough to even be ashamed- stay away from this facility unless you want your life to be in jeopardy.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. The most horrifying and awful experience of my families life. The entire staff from the top down to the bottom is extremely negligent and lack any sense of accountability or care. Very short staffed as well and very rude aides/nurses. I would never send a loved one here. Almost cost my dad his life due to not taking the proper care and precautions to help him with a bed sore that got worse in just a few short weeks due to them not turning him like they should have

I would rate a zero if possible. Stay away from this place, do not send a loved one here.<br><br>I believe The Avenue at Broadview Heights was negligent in the care of my father following his stroke.<br><br>During his stay at The Avenue, we repeatedly raised concerns regarding the quality of his care. Recently he was transported emergently to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for a severe pressure ulcer that had become infected and progressed to a necrotizing infection. The surgeon informed our family that the infection had spread to the bone and that my father was critically ill. We were told the surgery was life-threatening due to the severity of the infection.<br><br>Based on our observations and discussions with staff, we believe proper preventative measures were not being followed. My father was supposed to be repositioned every two to three hours to prevent pressure injuries, yet we do not believe this protocol was consistently followed. We also observed that he was not being bathed as frequently as required, despite care plans indicating he should receive bathing assistance twice weekly. In addition, there were numerous other issues throughout his relatively short stay that caused us significant concern regarding the quality and consistency of his care.<br><br>We made every effort to address these concerns through the appropriate channels. We spoke with facility management, including the Director and Corporate Supervisor. Despite following the chain of command and repeatedly advocating for my father, his condition continued to worsen.
