My mother was at Ave Maria in the memory care unit for 2 years and she really was treated very well. Mom had lived with me but as the Alzheimer’s became a little worse and I was working as a nurse full time it became overwhelming. She really adapt ed very well to the St. Luke’s memory care unit. Each resident has their own room that they can decor with their own familiar things . The residents are together in a very home like situation and -they eat together at several large tables and they also had a open den like room with a TV. They have an activity director, Amber who is wonderful at her job. After 2 years Mom had a mild stroke and needed more care so she was sent to St Joseph’s greenhouse at Ave Maria. Again she received great care. Ave Maria has 9 individual small homes called greenhouses that serve 10 residents in each home. with meals and separate rooms in each house which is very nice.

Make trips often to Ave Maria and have always had a warm and respectful experience. Many workers there have been there for so many years knowing they make a difference because of their commitment and love for the seniors. Hopefully you will be able to share these great experiences after you have placed your loved one here.

Ave Maria is truly a wonderful place. My mother was there, my mother in law and several other extended family members. The staff and management are all such caring compassionate people. The assisted living always has something fun going on and the green houses, where my mother and mother in law were, feels like a home. Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom, but can congregate in the middle where there’s a Living room and kitchen and they all eat together like a family. Being Catholic, I loved that I could roll my mother’s wheel chair into the chapel and we could attend mass together. Truly a special place! ❤️
