We had a horrible experience with this place, when I think of a rehabilitation center I think they help your loved one get back on their feet so they can go home.
There was no communication, tried to give a prescription that was on an old order because Avalon didn't take the time to read the hospital discharge report all the way through , never followed the doctor's instructions for care, no scheduled therapy just came in whenever and expected the patient to get up and do it, the food was horrible sometimes never made enough for the whole facility, 1 bathroom for 4 patients and hardly ever saw a house keeper.
This place is very under staffed and have nurses that are very intimidating.
We decided to take our loved one out of there and got a call the next day from the director of Avalon Healthcare asking why and what went on I told her my complaints and she proceeded to promise me if we decided to bring our loved one back she would see that they got VIP treatment.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME WASN'T THAT SUPPOSED TO BE THE PLAN FROM THE BEGINNING? WHAT A JOKE!!
