If I could’ve left zero stars, I would’ve. I could’ve sworn I left this review last year, but it’s missing for some reason so I’m going to do it again. The nurses and the social worker Tanya on the second floor are alright, but the Social worker supervisor is a horrific demon from hell. I was dealing with cancer the last time my mother was there and Medicare stopped paying, and they called me that day and told me I had to come pick up my mother or they were going to call the authorities on me and claim that I abandoned her while I was receiving chemotherapy!!!!! Heartless! I had to send her home in a uber ALONE that I had to pay for while I was in the hospital hooked up to a IV! They didn’t care at all. My mother was miserable the entire time she was there and called me every single day and begged me to take her home. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do and she had to stay as long as her insurance would pay. Overall, they’re heartless, miserable, disgusting people! Stay FAR AWAY!!!

I just came home from Autumn Lake Healthcare after being there for 7 weeks following foot surgery. Reneisha, is a terrific nurse who took the time to explain my medications, checked my blood sugar levels-always with a smile. Jackie, my nurses aide, also took care of my daily needs whether getting me ready for my day, getting me ready for rehab, or bringing me my meals, she always had a smile and we found something to laugh about. I was to thank all the rehab therapists. They helped me work on all that was needed to get me to stand, balance, and be able to walk with a cast and finally a boot. Finally, thank you to staff, and volunteers who assisted in making my stay comfortable.

Overall a wonderful experience. My mother was at Autumn Lake in Norwalk for over 3 months recovering from a stroke. All of the staff was wonderful. Lauren Jones, case worker, was always available to answer my questions, helped put my mind at ease. Chandanpreet Kaur was amazing as well. She is so caring and attentive. I wish I had all the names of the staff but they are all wonderful. Can’t thank you all enough for everything!

Pretty sure this is a private equity nursing home. Private equity nursing homes have a 10% higher death rate. They are for profit. This company Autumn Lake Healthcare is affiliated with 60 facilities in many different states in the United States. My mother stayed at this facility and rapidly deteriorated and is now dead. This was during the height of Covid and I was not even allowed to see her because they kept quarantining the patients for their alleged safety. Every time I would go to visit, they would not allow me to see her. I am fairly certain they gave her Covid19 vaccines without any authorization from my family. I requested all of the notes and medical records from her stay years ago so I could review what happened while she was there and they said they would provide them but I never received them. Still waiting.

I want to share my experience at Autumn Lake. I had to come there twice for physical, occupational and speech therapy. The care and support shown to me was very encouraging. Due to this, it helped my stay be more comfortable and allow me to focus on my goals. From the therapists, to the nurses, to the aides, and the managerial staff…everyone was amazing. I especially want to recognize Chandanpreet Kaur. She was very responsive and caring daily and that really meant a lot. I thank her for always checking in on me because being in healthcare isn’t easy but she strived to do her best every single day. Thank you to Autumn Lake for being there through my journey!
