Most of the CNAs are lovely, but there is a terrible communication b/w nursing staff, CNA directors and CNAs. Powders, creams my mom has needed often are not done and I have to repeatedly ask staff to correct the procedure. For example, my mom needed Ketoconazole shampoo to under her breasts and groans and some of the nursing staff directed CNAs to put this on her head just b/c it said shampoo. My mom's scalp and eyes were red and irritated. Particularly, Claire, the nursing director, has said she's spoke with CNAs whi have left my mom to shower alone and she is a fall riskband she didn't speak with this CNA. She left her alone again and I've sent videos of the evidence to Claire. She has yet to have this conversation with this CNAs. Many of the CNAs are on their phones instead of making rounds and attending to residents. I've alerted the CNAs to other residents yelling from their rooms for help b/c they are sitting in the living room. Disappointing when you're advocating for you parent and it falls on deaf ears especially with video evidence. Negligence at the very least.

We moved my dad into the memory care wing of Asbury Court about a year ago and we couldn’t be more pleased with that experience and the top notch care he receives as a resident.

Joanna worked closely with my family as we navigated the application process and helped to streamline the move in process. Vanessa helps to keep us on the straight and narrow, helping to navigate a myriad of benefits and insurance matters. And all of the staff (including the dedicated nurses, CNAs, social workers and cleaning staff) keep an incredibly close eye on my dad making sure he’s well cared for - even in those moments when he’s difficult or resisting assistance.

My dad’s diagnosis is a painful one but it makes my family’s heart happy knowing that he’s being so well cared for at Asbury.

I want to express my extreme gratitude for how Asbury Court is treated my mom over the last six months. Their staff is beyond excellent, they care, they know her name, they’re compassionate and take very good care of her. Her memory and spirit has increased tremendously over the past six months. Previously, she was headed backwards, Asbury Court has made a world of difference in her life. Special things to Joanna, Claire, and Helen. They run an amazing facility with quality people! I would highly recommend anybody who’s looking for assisted-living, memory, care, or independent living to look into Asbury Court. Me and my family are extremely grateful that we found this place. My grandmother has lived here for over a year due to her new diagnosis of dementia, There have been so many issues that we continue to deal with as a family! This facility does not make their elderly clients a priority, and it is very clear as to how it is ran! We almost had a med error as they have a patient at their facility with a similar last name and if family wasn’t paying attention, she would have been given the wrong medication! We continue to have to call the facility to ensure that she is being showered, her laundry is being washed, and her room is cleaned appropriately! Of late, the biggest issue has been the facility being infested with bedbugs, It took them over 48 hours to address while my grandmother slept on her couch because her mattress was covered in bedbugs and they told us there was no other place to relocate her to, So we took her out of the facility for four weeks so they could deal with the issue. After several emails and phone calls, because they do not do as they say they are going to do, they finally got her a new apartment and did not even bother to move all of her things. Our family had to take on the burden of moving her once again! We asked for financial compensation for the four weeks that she was not there at the facility and still have not gotten an answer and that has been over two months ago! We continue to be unhappy with this facility as they do not make their residence a priority. I do not recommend this facility to anyone for their elderly loved ones!

Joanna was of great assistance! She made moving my aunt and uncle in a very smooth transition. Everyone was very welcoming.
