When looking for a facility for my loved one who has young onset Alzheimer's, I chose Arden Courts. The fact that they only care for those with memory issues, means that they are familiar with the behaviors that come with dementia and are familiar in how best to help the residents. They have gone above and beyond to use personalized strategies to manage his behaviors and they treat each resident as an individual with individual needs. The facility has staff on hand to handle most issues and reliable resources to bring in if needed. The staff all know my loved one by name and will talk directly to him which lets him know that he is a part of the community.

The resident rooms are small, but for a person with dementia that makes it easier for them to find everything. Also, it encourages residents to be out of their rooms, be social, and attend activities. The facility has an enclosed outdoor courtyard that residents have access to.
