I looked at several assisted living facilities before choosing Arbor Terrace. When I moved my 89 year-old mom in to her new apartment there yesterday, all of my hopes for a loving, caring, and safe home for her were confirmed. The facility is beautiful – updated, modern and clean. The residents all look happy along with the staff that serves them. Staff members consistently greeted mom and I with eye contact and a friendly warm smile and a big welcome. They helped make this transition exciting for mom instead of feeling like a loss. Special shout outs go to Arbor Terrace leaders Denise Moore, Seankia (activities), Angie (nursing), Brittany (facilities), Angela (dining) and Susan (front desk) as well as their team members. You are all special people doing incredibly important work caring for those who cared for us first. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💚<br><br>One update since my mom moved in a few months ago. The food has been a big disappointment to her except breakfast. I know it’s a difficult job but I believe this community deserves better and something remotely close to the advertising on their website. This was a very big reason why we chose Arbor Terrace. Everything else has been good. I am hopeful that this will improve.

The transition to memory care at Arbor Terrace has been such a positive experience for my friend. She is surrounded by caring staff, and the activities that are provided help her feel not only cared for but helps with her cognitive decline. The staff at Arbor Terrace are spectacular!

My Dad has been there just over two months. When it comes to assisted living, I believe you get what you pay for. The staff is wonderful! He's not much of a social butterfly, but they have multiple daily activities (bingo, trivia, etc.) and light entertainment (jigsaw puzzles, book library). He likes the meals. They do check on him multiple times a day and they do get him for meals.

I’ve partnered with Arbor Terrace Decatur for some time now through my work in hospice, and I’ve had a really positive experience working with their team. They do a great job making sure residents are well cared for and are always open to collaboration.<br><br>Angie Jackson is an absolute gem. Her residents are clearly her top priority, and she stays very involved in their care. David Stewart is an awesome leader. He’s always welcoming and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference when building relationships in the community.<br><br>Overall, it’s a solid team that genuinely cares about their residents.
