Agate Home Care provided an excellent experience from start to finish. Everyone was professional, caring, and attentive, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about providing quality care. When my spouse was discharged home on Hospice, I knew I needed help to keep him comfortable. The Key was recommended to me - and every one of their personnel with whom I worked over a four week period was wonderful to work with. I felt comfortable with them in my home, they were well trained and willing to work to position and re-position my spouse as needed, and were dependable. Highly recommend.

One caregiver mngr, in particular, was uncaring, unprofessional & more interested in covering herself than the truth! ANGELA W. received my 2 week resignation email on 5/15/26, effective (no more assignments) on 5/29/26 which was more than 2 wks! Yet, I showed interest in an assignment that was supposedly offering btween $18-$20./hr & wud have occurred BEFORE my end DATE (a long time mngr shud know that a caregiver can still request & work within those 2 wks, NOT aftr it ends!I), but I was never offered that shift & ARNETTA (the one in charge of that client) knows she NEVER offered me that shift! I'm sure it's bcuz they didn't want to pay me $19./hr (my request) bcuz they cud find another caregiver to do it for much less. I NEVER CALL OUT OF A SHIFT, ALWAYS GAVE AMPLE NOTICE OF EMERGENCY LEAVES (aout 2 wks or more) & was a definite asset to this agency! Not many can say that for over a yr they took care of clients who loved having them & they never was a "NO SHOW"!! I only took a shift prior to 5/15/26 & ANGELA W. dropped the ball wen she neglected to remove me frm the schedule for any shift AFTR 5/29/26! She didn't!! So on 5/30/26 (one day aftr my resignation was effective), 2 staff members called me accusing me of NOT CLOCKING IN for a shift that started at 2pm! How cud I be in 2 places at once?! No one shud unreasonably be expected to be at a shift wen they no longer even worked with The Key! Angela knew this, but instead of admitting she forgot to remove me frm the schedule, she simply gaslighted me; rudely & continuously kept asking, "did u take the shift"; talking over me & hanging up in my face wen I tried to help her see how ridiculous it was to blame me!! I expected this agency's staff to treat an asset (that I was) much better than this. So, I contacted HR for assistance. Hr was supposed to be launching an investigation, but it's been about 2 wks & I haven't heard a word! Seems like a horrible agency to work with if this is how they will treat valuable caregivers. I know wat I did & wanted to finish strong with the agency I thought I had a good rapport with? They showed me how little they care for their caregivers & how they (some wicked staff members) won't hesitate to cover their butts at someone else's expense!
