A message from a previous resident! Please read! January ,1 2015 To Whom It May Concern: This letter wil serve as a recommendation for Ms. Odette Rodney of Apple Blossoms Assisted Living ni Silver Spring, Maryland. This recommendation is long, but well-deserved. Ms. Rodney has served as my mother's primary caregiver in her assisted living facility for nearly three years. When my mother first arrived, she was in a wretched state. She had just spent eight weeks or so ni a rehab facility where she was confined to a wheelchair, causing weakness throughout her body and severe swelling of her legs and feet, and also had accidentally been without her asthma medication. Upon moms' arrival at Apple Blossoms, Ms. Rodney set ot work immediately ot correct this situation. Her efforts to work with mom to help her regain mobility, providing multiple nebulizer treatments and other medications, elevating Moms' feet during the day and the head of her bed at night, turned things around. Ms. Rodney became my mom's personal gourmet chef. Wed' had trouble getting mom ot eat and she was living mostly on protein shakes, but Ms. Rodney wheelchair acting dopey al day. Apple Blossoms provides many things for their residents, what I call "enrichment" which consists of some physical therapy and things such as singing together, driving in the car to view the fall foliage, enjoying the outdoors when weather permits, doing crafts and other activities which enhance motor skills, celebrating birthdays and holidays, etc. The residents, on occasion, are treated to lunch at a local buffet. Al of the staff at Apple Blossoms are excellent. We have had no trouble with anyone over the years. There was one nurse who wore perfume and I asked her not to wear it because of my mom's asthma. She complied immediately without question. I like being one-on-one with the nurses and getting feedback from them as wel. The ratio of staff-to- patient couldn't be better. There have been several occasions when my mom had to go to the emergency room. Whenever these times come up, Ms. Rodney goes with her and stays with her, contacting me to update the situation. Ms. Rodney will check on mom several times a day if she is admitted to the hospital. Not only is this outstanding care, it means my mom has an advocate with her. It also means that no one in my family has to take time off from work. It should be noted that there is a fire department within one mile of Apple Blossoms and area hospitals are very close by as well. Ms. Rodney works with my mom's physicians (and pharmacy and other medical suppliers) directly, brings her to appointments when necessary, and closely monitors the dispensing of her medications. Ms. Rodney is always willing to share any setbacks or progress with regard to my mom's health. She has been a touchstone for me and I feel truly blessed. I am so comfortable in the knowledge that my mom is in capable hands that ! That's why I refer to Ms. Rodney as "My Angel." I would encourage anyone who needs a knowledgeable, committed, faithful, caring soul to care for their loved one to seek out MS. Rodney for the job. The Apple Blossoms facilities are very clean and precautions are taken with regard to security issues. If you place your loved one with M.s Rodney, you won't be disappointed with the care. Please feel free to contact me if you need further information. Sincerely, Carol L. Coster

Apple Blossoms should be your number one pick if you want a warm and professional approach to assisted living for your precious loved one. Why? Because the head of Apple Blossoms is an experienced caregiver who has created a special, family-style environment that provides individualized attention for each of the residents. Because the nurses are jewels, chosen for their qualities of patience, caring, and experience. Because, tasty, homemade meals are provided three times a day and two snacks (with some tweaks, tailored to each resident’s preferences). Because my precious mother was blessed to have spent her final time of life in its peaceful embrace. Therefore, if you are looking for a place with folks who will learn to build a special relationship with your loved one, watchful for anything that might affect their health or comfort, there is no better choice than Apple Blossoms. –Perry Degener, Silver Spring.

Apple Blossoms is a great place! They really take great care of the patients! If you want a luxury experience this is the home to put your relative in. The owner has such a sweet spirit, she is very knowledgeable about this industry! If I could give 10 stars I would definitely give it to this company!
