My mother has been here since, December 2020. The front office staff (Cindy, Sara, and Dona) all go above and beyond to help my mom feel comfortable. All of the American House employees are amazing from the housekeeping, cleaning mom's room every day and washing her clothes once a week, to the kitchen staff that already know she likes tea with her meals and Always has a cup ready for her before she sits down. Plus, if mom misses a meal, they bring her meal to her room and make sure she is OK. The activity lady (Sara) loves my mom as if my mom were her mom. She has activities several times a day Mon through Friday, with a few things on the weekends. Additional, they provide transportation to local dr appointments a couple days a week. The gentleman (Deon) is amazing, he always helps my mom, and he will go look for her, if shes not by the door at her pick up time. He always makes sure mom gets inside all her appointments safely and back to her apartment. They have Homestead on site, which I use for my mom's additonal needs. They have nurse practitioner that comes in the building once a week. They have a hairdresser on site,and is in the building once a week. The best part about this location, is they have a memory care unit. So, I don't have to worry about totally relocating mom when that time comes.
