The grounds are lovely and so is the facility with lots of activities and a whole floor of gameplay like basketball, pool, shuffle board, miniature shuffle board, ping pong, and exercise equipment, a baby grand Piano, and huge fireplaces. The team is friendly except for the dining room team captain.

Many thanks to Darlene, both Marilyns, Shelly, Z, Carlo, Jerome and all the Maintenance staff, Kitchen/ wait staff and Environmental Services. What a wonderful team you guys have! My dad was a resident for several weeks for respite care. From beginning to end, we felt welcomed and cared for. The staff went out of their way to accommodate him on short notice, providing all the essentials he would need without us having to move in a bunch of furniture for just a short stay.<br>The facility is very clean and welcoming. I love the fireplace and living room-atmosphere in the main group area when you walk in. The other residents are friendly and cheerful. He really enjoyed to quality and variety of food. His room was a cozy efficiency; more than adequate space for one person. The kitchenette was enough for his needs, and he really appreciated the easy-access shower. Everything was modern and clean. And I believe the bathroom was recently updated.<br>The staff remembered my dad's name from the very beginning, and care felt very personalized.<br>I can't say enough good things about American House Sterling Heights. I would highly recommend. And we would definitely return if his situation changes in the future.<br>Many thanks to the staff!

Moved my father in on very short medical notice! They were wonderful. Staff is pleasant Darlene and Tina! Medical team that we had encounters with was great especially Carole !!!!My father really enjoyed living here. 1 star taken away due to food . Just wasn’t the right fit for my father. I heard the food service has better themselves since ! My Dad made lasting friends there!

Lots of people say the food is very bad, I’ve experienced bad service with my grandma, just leaving her in her room by herself not able to get out of her wheelchair. Place feels very lackadaisical, heard it used to be a lot better so I’d look somewhere else.
