Stay away from Ambiance at Maitland if you don't want SCABIES. It's been going around for a year and now they refuse to admit it. DCF has been notified in the past.

Mom lived here for about 6 months in their memory care unit. We had high hopes for Ambiance, considering it is now owned by Providence, though we were ultimately disappointed.<br><br>We live out of state,and we asked the leadership team for simple, regular updates about the care given to Mom. Sadly, we were refused. Many of our communications to these leaders went unanswered.<br><br>When we did receive a response, the typical answer amounted to, “We have many residents to care for, and we don’t have the time.” Really?<br><br>The caregivers seem kind, and they did some things well, like making sure she was well-fed and changing her clothes. Though their workload appears to be too much, as many things were overlooked.<br><br>Mom’s bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, and the dining room floor was always sticky with food/drink residue. Lastly, we discovered Mom had severe hemorrhoids, which the staff never addressed with us.<br><br>In all, a very disappointing experience. And, as with all things Ambiance, no helpful response to our concerns.

Ambiance at Maitland is a truly special community. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and care that goes into everything they do. The Sales Director Kim is incredibly hands-on, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping families navigate what can be an emotional and overwhelming decision. She takes the time to listen, answer questions thoughtfully, and make sure every detail feels comfortable and supported. It’s clear that the team here truly cares about their residents and families, and that makes all the difference. I would absolutely recommend Ambiance of Maitland to anyone exploring senior living options.

Unfortunately, this was not the right place for my dad, but I was blown away by the kindness shown from the Director, Kim, as my mom and I arrived on a Sunday, unannounced, in a panic to find a place for my dad. She was very calm, encouraging and took time to help us even when she knew Ambiance was not the right place for his needs.

Moving my mom, Edith, into assisted living was such a hard decision, but meeting Kimberly Tesla at Ambiance at Maitland changed everything. Kim’s warmth, sincerity, and genuine interest in my mom as a person (not just a resident) made all the difference! She made the transition feel like a true “Welcome Home” My mom is happier and more social than she’s been in years, singing karaoke, carving pumpkins, and truly thriving. Kim even stayed late one night to help build my mom’s bed! Who does that? Her heart and dedication are unmatched.
