I spent approximately 30 days in this facility after broken bones from a fall I suffered. At the beginning, I had a tough time getting up to do therapy due to my blood pressure dropping. With the excellent, skilled nurses at Amber Manor, they contacted Dr.Keepes, who took me off of the blood pressure medications that had been affecting me. This facility has 2 amazing therapists, Rachel and Melanie. Their social worker, Janet, is one of the most caring people you could ever meet. They have a lot of activities for the residents, including the history of nearby cities, which is a testament to Helen Woods and Sarah Pollock. I would also like to recognize Mike in activities, and the bus driver. From 3 - 5 p.m. on Fridays, they have Hospitality Hour, and I made lots of new friends, as well as getting to reunite with people I hadn’t seen in years. The food was great, and I would highly recommend this facility. I’m looking forward to volunteering here a few days a week once I am able to walk around on a cane.
