Just arrived today for about a 11 day stay. The smell of sewer gas seems to be overpowering in my room. Help me JESUS. This is my sixth day here. Lunch today was hot dogs and chips outside but I'm dealing with chronic kidney disease stage 3 so I cannot eat this type of food. I explained this to several people today but apparently I get no lunch today.

I visited the facility today for the first time and upon my arrival, I was immediately struck by a strong odor of urine and ammonia. Even while standing in the front lobby near the entrance, the scent was so overwhelming that I had to breathe through my mouth to manage it. It is deeply concerning to think that elderly, disabled, and vulnerable individuals are living in such conditions. Having worked in nursing homes for nearly 20 years, I have never encountered an environment with such a pronounced odor throughout my career.

I am beyond grateful to the staff at the Ambassador Nursing Home who have been taking care of my Mom for the past year. The caregivers are caring, kind and compassionate. I visit my Mom several times a week at the facility and if there is an issue, I bring it to the attention of the staff and it gets corrected. A huge “Thank You” to all of the staff there but especially to those taking care of my Mom on a regular basis. ❤️🙏🏽❤️

If I could give ZERO Stars I would. Moved my MIL there after a short hospital stay. She needed PT to her regain her strength. Moved her to Ambassador and she was basically neglected. She pushed her call button at 2:30 a.m. and no one came until 7:30 a.m. They forgot to feed her both breakfast and lunch on one day. No one cleaned her room. I had to ask them to give her a bath after realizing she had not had one in 5 days. No hot water in her room. The facility is in poor shape. They had 1 aide to 30 residents on the weekend. The staff was even complaining that they couldn't get to all of the residents who needed assistance. They begged me to call the Administrator and tell them they needed help. When I called the Administrator personally, she said, "We are experiencing a hiring crisis and we just don't have the staff." My response? "I know you have a quota to meet, but don't take in new patients if you don't have the staff to care for them! My MIL is not just a number!" Absolutely sickening. Cruel really. I wouldn't put my dog at this community. Needs to be shut down in my humble opinion. If you are searching for a GREAT community in Tulsa, go to The Cottage at Woodland Hills. Moved my MIL there after leaving The Ambassador and it was a WONDERFUL experience. Highly recommend.
