Required services of this capacity and glad we found Alto in Wheaton for my 88 year old mother. From our initial visit, we were greeted warmly and sincerely by all members of the staff. Everyone was very professional, and also very personal, in a time when we felt most vulnerable, not knowing anything about extended care facilities. After moving in, we were very comfortable with everything available to us from the accommodations, to the on site medical care, to the food, to the activities, to the value for the dollar. Being close to a loved one provides value and peace of mind beyond measure and there were numerous facilities that we had interviewed. Glad we chose Alto, because it satisfies everything we could imagine needing, at this stage of our lives.

I first like to say that this is a very clean and beautiful community.
With that being said I'd like to further say that this Assisted living community is definitely not for people who are in need of higher levels of assistance.
The transparency and lack of professionalism with the caregivers and administration is absolutely appalling.
I would definitely heavily suggest anyone who is considering this as a place for their loved one Make sure that this is a fit for them and that they are at the appropriate level of care.
There are two levels of care assisted living and the dementia care unit.
Our mother was placed at assisted living level and we were immediately skeptical that this was the appropriate level of care and brought this to the administrations attention.
Things were very much brushed off and never did sail smooth.
There is very little consistency or accountability on anyone's end when things are brought to the attention of the higher-ups.
Our mother ended up having a fall that was unwitnessed... As a result of me calling my mom and she did not answer the phone which was not like her I called and asked for a caregiver to go up and check and I was told about 20 minutes later she was found on the floor but that she was okay. I wasn't comfortable with that and immediately gotten my car to go there because I wasn't understanding how they can assess that someone who had an unsupervised fall didn't need to be checked out at the emergency room.
Turns out my mom did have a brain bleed as a result of this fall.
My mom has since passed away.
Again I would caution anyone to please make sure that your loved one is fit for the level of care that they are being placed at when looking at this facility.

Awesome community. Alicia and Courtney are fantastic and were so wonderful to work with. They really take patient safety seriously, as we trained their entire staff in CPR. We look forward to doing business with them again.
