Alden Skokie is a premiere rehabilitation facility..The staff is excellent from top to bottom.. They are professional, talented, energetic and personable. The place is smaller in stature but the advantage there is that you get personalized care.. my mom has been at 5 different rehab facilities and this is the best by a long shot. The facility is exceptional clean and the food is very good...It is not perfect, no facility is but I highly recommend it.

I am impressed with the level of care and support that I receive at Alden Estates of Skokie. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. The administrator worked hard even before I arrived at the facility, like working with the hospital to get me in. The nursing supervisor was always available to answer any of my questions or my family's questions. The therapist was amazing and got me back on my feet quickly. Food was also a plus every single meal was something I looked forward to. The housekeeping staff always made sure my clothes and room were kept clean. Laundry washed, pressed, and returned the same day. Going home was also easy, the social worker set me up with additional services. If you need to go to rehab, this is the place to go. A+ across the board.

This facility is dirty, I saw mice outside daily. The administration is awful. The administrator is rude.

Called right after my 2nd knee replacement and asked for help.<br>No return call. Not recommended.

I am incredibly disappointed at the treatment my mother received at Alden Estates of Skokie and I do not recommend the facility to Anyone. I don’t believe the facility followed federal regulations and a facility that will patently disregard federal regulations in one area will do it in many areas. Before she came to Alden for Rehab from surgery she was told that they could provide her with kosher meals. They showed her a menu of options she was able to choose from for each meal. When she arrived there were very limited kosher options. After she had been there almost a week the nursing home ran out of kosher meals she could eat. The facility refused to order more kosher meals because they said it cost $10 per meal and they had to order 6. My mother asked them if they could get food from a nearby kosher establishment for $10 but the facility claimed that corporate wouldn’t allow it. The facility told my mother that she would either have to eat the food they cook at the facility or bring in her own food. We attempted to contact the administrator but received no return calls. My mother had to leave the nursing home early, before her rehab was complete because of the neglect she experienced at Alden Estates.
