I was a patient for rehab at the Northbridge, MA location at the beginning of the year. I was there for 9 days and they were the WORST 9 days of my life. I had just had quadruple bypass surgery and had 2 very nasty CNA's that I did report, but not sure if they were every reprimanded. I would never recommend this facility to even a dying dog. I would share one of the experiences, as I was not able to go to the bathroom on my own so I had an accident in the bed, and when I called for help, I was left laying in the mess for 10 minutes, and when I had left UMass earlier that day they gave me a few pillows for the ambulance ride to rehab. I was laying on one of them and it get soiled and the CNA that cleaned me took the pillow and came around the bed and showed it to me. My sister who was in CT was ready to come and take me out of there. DO NOT EVER USE THEM for rehab. I was bleeding thru my shirts after having a heparin shot and when I called to tell someone, a CNA came in and I told her that I had had the shot like 4 hours ago, and she said "so what do you want me to do"...Again...DO NOT go there for rehab. And since I have written this, of course no one has reached out to me to discuss my review. Typical of them as they do not want to take responsibility for the actions of their employees.

I've dropped this from 2 stars to 1. The administration team here is a nightmare. 4 and a half months after my Dad passed, I get an invoice for rent from this place. I called to find out why, they had no clue and couldn't explain it. I was told I'd get a call back. 3 business days later, not a word back. The number on the invoice is out of service. The main number is hard to get through to and once I did, the billing department hung up on me no less than 4 times before even saying "hello". Just picked up the line and hung up. Their invoice isn't getting paid in my lifetime. I called back a 7th time and asked they take my number and call me back if anyone cares. Honestly, if you're considering this place for a loved one, cross it off the list and go elsewhere!!!!! I'm giving this place 2 stars because there are maybe 5 people who work here who actually care. The rest treat the patients like a commodity or an inconvenience. I've heard activity workers threaten dementia patients. I've seen nurses leave patients sitting on the floor after they fell. My father was in this facility for a year and 4 months. Had he lived at home like he wanted, he would have passed away sooner. So this place did improve his QOL temporarily, but when he was in UMASS for 2 weeks after having a stroke, he was finally able to return to Advinia and the room as dirty with the same trash and crumbs and old food that had been in the room when he left 2 weeks earlier. The night he passed, the was staff more concerned with me cleaning his belongings out of the room in case they needed it for someone else. This place is better than leaving your loved one in an empty house, but please do your research before committing anyone here.

I only write reviews when I’m either extremely pleased or extremely disappointed. I felt compelled to review my stay at AdviniaCare in Northbridge, MA. To say I’ve been extremely pleased with my short term rehabilitative stay at Advinia just doesn’t do it justice. After an ICU stay including a 10 day admission to a local hospital, was transferred to their Northbridge facility. The staff- direct care, supervisors, activities, nursing, housekeeping, PT, OT, Speech/Language Pathology, SW, facilities maintenance, dietary, nutrition, medical -are OUTSTANDING (hope I didn’t forget anyone!) Every single person I encountered was warm and professional. If they said they were going to do something-they followed through. My fellow residents were also wonderful and I had great conversations and thanks to the Activities staff, we had fun and lots of laughs. I would highly recommend AdviniaCare of Northbridge if you or a loved one is in need of rehabilitation or skilled nursing care! Sincerely, Mary Ellen Dean, Mendon, MA

My father in law was recently there and we found the facility exceptionally clean and the staff friendly, attentive and very professional. They took extra time and patience with his care as he can be difficult. I would highly recommend this facility- our family was impressed and if needed he would return.
