Great service. The entire staff was excellent. They were attentive, caring and very professional. I could not have been happier with my physical therapy.

Eric the Occupational Therapist is great. The nursing staff is okay but their communication to the patient on when they will arrive needs work. Katie the physical therapist has been terrible about communication and it took her three weeks to do an evaluation. She lied to her office and told them she has been trying to get ahold of us but we didn’t have any missed calls from her. There needs to be better communication to the patient on arrival times, just because they aren’t going anywhere does not mean that the caregivers don’t have to work or run errands. Sometimes patients can’t get to the door to answer it.

We placed my brother on Hospice, Monday, Dec 16, 2019. He was in the last stage of lung cancer that had spread to his brain. He was brought home by ambulance. A nurse came later that evening and did his admittance to get everything set up. She ask me what days would I like for a nurse to come and I replied Mon and Wed would be good. I waited all day on Tues and Wed not knowing exactly which days they would come back and no one showed nor called. I called the office on Wed evening to ask if a nurse would be coming and was told that a social worker would like to come out and meet us. She came and did her part, still no nurse. I then waited all day Thurs and Friday still no nurse nor phone call. I was told in the beginning that a nurse would be bringing a pain kit along with some meds for anxiety and his breathing in case it became labored. They brought nothing and never did show up or call that week. On Sat a nurse called around 4 o’clock and said she was on her way. I was getting ready to leave for the day and my nephew didn’t feel comfortable talking to the nurse because he had never done anything like this before and he was going to be sitting with my brother while I was out a while so we ask if she could come on Monday instead. My brother unfortunately passed away that night. I feel as though they never did their job, they were very unprofessional by not calling or coming when they said they would. I’m thankful that my brother never needed the pain kit nor the meds for his breathing. He passed away peacefully without any help from Amedysis. The nurse that came to pronounce him gone came in and ask me what I wanted her to do? Do they not have a list of things they are suppose to do after someone dies? The second question was, where are the pain meds? Very unprofessional in my opinion. I definitely would NOT recommend this company to any family. It took the nurse 2 hours to get to my brothers home that night as well. I’m thankful we didn’t need her in a hurry. I must add that we dealt with the Anmoore, WV office.
