The food is above par for what the staff has to work with. Commodities are Commodities though. The staff here seems to have goal oriented measures for success, with healing in mind. The male doctor here explained that healing is incomplete without firm cornerstones of physical AND emotional healing for support guided success. There are a few staff members who definitely stand, outshiningly to my previous misconcepts of what is acceptable and what is previously thought to be ineffably outstanding. The ones who allow and help residents to be comfortable on the residents terms are of whom I speak staff with a demeanor and patience idea for training and or teaching. Accel at Longmont maintains an upscale appearance while maintaining a, "down to earth", heart sized staff that's capable of remembering to never forget the importance of care and compassion!

I am a new resident of Accel in Longmont. This facility is a safe haven from all of the truly dangerous and unsafe facilities that have been placed in. I’ve only been here for maybe three months and I’ve found that the staff is courteous, respectful, professional and very supportive to each resident. I’ve been treated with kindness, courtesy and compassion, since I’ve arrived at this facility. I can see myself being content to live my life here. Thank you to the staff who takes care of me everyday.

Do NOT let your family or friends go to Accel. Ever since it was purchased by Cottonwood at the beginning of June 2025, it has turned into the absolute worst facility you could ever imagine. Administer Chadwick is the biggest game playing lier, who could care absolutely nothing about the residents, nor staff. Nor even the families of residents. Or even the facility. He will do anything he can to put a head in a bed. So as to look good and make any money he can, at the cost of people’s quality of life… even their lives. And will play any game he can to try and get people there. He puts on a total fake persona when he gives tours. It’s the only time he actually will be nice to residence, their family and staff is when he is giving a tour of a prospective new resident. Mental health patients are allowed in without being properly assessed. Which causes a big danger and so much more. You can go to him with some positive important information, or even a compliment about a staff member. He won’t even take a moment to listen and ignores what you say. And as all the amazing staff members quit. As he is so rude to them. And you can not at all trust him. Along with the fact that he will let anybody into the building as a resident, they are terribly overwhelmed. And because of this, and so much more, for their sanity, they must move on. And if anyone, to include residents and family cross him in his eyes, he is very vindictive. Our love one passed away as we were preparing to move them out of the now terrible Accel. For the well-being of anyone you care about, please stay far away.

Do not send your loved ones to this rehabilitation facility! My mom told them she had insurance but they put her as private pay, taking a huge amount just to get her a bed. Come to find out, her insurance was going to cover her stay. After my sister contacted billing, the administration, etc. (which took weeks) she finally received an answer and we were told my mom wouldn't receive the full amount she paid back, even though the insurance company told us that Accel was paid in full. They finally sent my mom her check after a few months of dealing with this issue, and, they didn't even send it for the full amount! Basically, they "kept the change". So disappointing! We felt my mom was taken advantage of. We thought we were making a good choice. Do not make the same mistake we made when choosing Accel.

DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO THIS FACILITY! MY LOVED ONE IS NOW IN HOSPICE The staff failed to identify a staph infection in my loved one, and it developed into sepsis. Accel is 4 or 5 miles from UCHealth, and staff couldn't be bothered to call an ambulance. But I did! Staff is rude and uncaring on the phone. Once I was even told by a RN that they didn't give a damn about my concerns! Management and social workers are gone by 3pm, so there is no one of authority to handle complaints later in the day, when most people are able to visit. The social worker never returned my phone calls or those of several facilities I was actively trying to transfer my loved on to. The facility is not secure and nobody was sitting at the front desk. I can not believe this place exists! Most facilities make you sign in, take your picture, and sign out--plus they only have one way in/out for the public, plus other entrances have coded locks...NOT ACCEL! IT IS A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT IT IS A HELL HOLE ON THE INSIDE!!!
