I recently had the opportunity to spend time at this dementia care community for my family. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring. You can tell the staff truly love what they do, and it shows in the way they interact with every resident.

One person who really stood out was Francesca, the Director of Engagement. Her warmth, energy, and compassion are contagious. She goes above and beyond to create meaningful activities that bring joy to the residents, and it's obvious they adore her. She has a special gift for making everyone feel included, valued, and engaged.

The residents looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, which speaks volumes about the environment this team has created. It's heartwarming to see so much kindness, patience, and genuine connection every day. I would absolutely recommend this community to anyone looking for exceptional dementia care for a loved one.

writing this review to hopefully save other families from the nightmare mine lived. My husband age 67 has advanced Alzheimer’s and for his safety I decided it was time for a facility. He could still walk , talk but needed help with daily care and 24/7 observation.. He was a person who was up at night. My daughter and myself was assured that would not be a problem.
The first call I received from Helen informed me my husband need sleeping medication because there was minimal staff at night. They medicated my husband and he was slumped in a chair the next daily not responsive when I arrived for dinner. I placed the medication on hold until I could talk to the provider. Then the complainants were that my husband was unruly when personal care was needed. Medications were changed to make him easier for the staff. I told the provider that he was over medicated and a fall risk now. He had never had a fall at home. The next day he did fall head trauma a trip to the ER which I was not notified. The hospital notified me of his admission. I was able to get the medications reduced but they then added a PRN medication for “care”. His posture changed and he could no longer feed himself.
One week later the second fall head trauma this time he no longer could walk. When I got him back to the facility I told then to hold the morning medication due to his sedation. The nurse Helen called me again this time to tell me I had to stop holding my husband medication. What my husband needed was more medication, a wheelchair and a hospice consult. I agreed to the hospice consult. Off the drugs for 10 hours when the hospice nurse arrived to assess him he was talking, walking and went to bathroom. She said he did not qualify for hospice. After dinner we walked outside. The next morning I came for breakfast he was slumped in a wheelchair, unable to hold his head up, no shoe and socks. I stayed with him gave him care. That night after dinner he could finally walk and we walked out of Your Life.

My mom lives in Your Life and she is thriving. She lived in a previous memory care that didn’t hold a candle to Your Life. The place is beautiful and clean. They have an area to walk outside so they don’t feel caged up. The rooms are spacious. They offer activities that challenge their brain. She loves the activities. The employees are so kind. They take field trips. She gets some therapy. I could go on and on. It’s been a game changer for my mom. I was so sad leaving her in her previous place but not in Your Life. She is happy and that’s worth so much!!! Best place in all of Brevard. They have made a difficult time with memory problems not so difficult.

My mom just recently concluded her time at Yourlife of West Melbourne and there's a need for me to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the lies told to me by Yourlife's sales person prior to and during admission. I've spoken with family members of other residents and my situation and findings are not unique to us.I spent an average of 2.5 hours every day or every other day visiting my mom.For those who praise Yourlife and the food there as being delicious on Google Review I'd love to know how many meals you actually tasted and how closely you observed the goings on there to have such a ridiculously opposite opinion than the reality we experienced. Also, employees including the sales person are posting great reviews here, violating Google Review policy! Here are the lies.1) I was told the meals were made from locally grown/sourced ingredients and served fresh. The truth is that the food is poor quality institutional food with watery, poorly seasoned soups, mystery meats bathed in strange sauces and tiny servings.Although after multiple complaints I saw larger servings, nothing else improved.Multiple residents made faces and expressed displeasure when this crap was put in front of them or they tasted it.2) I was told the residents were showered three times weekly, a blatant lie which created months of aggravation and disappointment when the actual shower frequency is twice weekly.3) The degree of acuity of the residents issues was hidden and minimized. Everyone needs/deserves a home however the sales person hid the reality of how severely compromised residents pull on peoples walkers while there walking, vigorously have shaken residents chairs while they're eating and frequently try to enter other residents rooms. One resident makes horrible shrieking noises during most meals clearly upsetting some residents. My mom was vigorously shoved into her room from behind by one of these folks.Amazing that she didn't fall but she was so upset it took 10 minutes to calm her. Caregivers told me the facility was now admitting much worse off people and honestly this creates a big problem when your loved one is just there for memory issues and must contend with these poor behaviors while management has no strategy to safeguard them and keep things reasonably quiet and peaceful.4) I was told by the salesperson that there are 3 doctors at Yourlife which implies readily available medical care. The reality is there is a Podiatrist who comes every other month and the other doctors are actually Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. While highly accomplished professionals they are not medical doctors and for months my mom only had access to them one day per week, possibly eventually twice weekly. After waiting 2 days for care,an X-ray and meds the head nurse informed me that "if you want medical care for your loved one in a timely manner you must get it outside of Yourlife." 5) I was told there's an X-ray machine on site, ready for use. This statement had value because of my mom's history of lung issues. I found out there was no machine on site and if you're lucky enough to get an xray ordered then a tech comes from the outside with a portable machine.I have a fair amount more material I could express here but not critical issues, just more misrepresentations.I suggest that if you come here for a tour/meeting get every promise in print and don't believe what you are told. This business is full of deceit as it's all about profit. We did get mostly great care from hardworking pleasant caregivers but the lies by the sales person had to be addressed. My friend went through the same thing with his mom and dad in 2 separate facilities. It's sadly the norm.Today while exercising my right to protest with a sign; OFF PROPERTY by 100's of feet, management called police and lied about me trespassing and bothering workers saying I'm hanging around the parking lot.Wouldn't Yourlife's multiple cameras or someone's cell have recorded this? Nothing! Besides todays protest I haven't been near Yourlife since vacating mom's room 1/21/26. The lies never end!
