Our Mom has been at Winthrop for nearly 4 months and we are all so happy with the care she's receiving. Today Moms hairdresser visited Mom and gave her the full Salon treatment. When she left Mom she sent us a text and I think her text brought a smile to all of us. Thank you Winthrop! "Thank you! I just left your mom. It was so good to see her, and to meet Jessica. But I wanted to tell y’all I was very impressed in the staff and the way they treated her. Everyone seemed like they genuinely cared and just loved your mom. I have been to other nursing homes that were not near as nice, so I didn’t know what to expect. But I know y’all wouldn’t stand for that anyway lol. They were very accommodating and helpful. Just thought y’all would want to know an outsiders perspective 🩷"

There are quite a few people here, that has made my time here so much more than just 'a stay.' Yes, I've come to call them; some of my Best friends and rocks, for their love and the compassion for the residents and their families. They are able to still do their 'assigned' jobs and stopped for a few minutes or so to just sit and talk a spell. To take part in activities like; motivated exercises, games, fan smacking line dancing, lol. They help give residents that boost of confidence with or over a colored picture. There are Nurses that do this even more so, bc they have to deal more with the one on one. I have, to me, made some of the most beautiful friends with them and with the CMA's/CNA's, Housekeeping and Laundry, oh I can't forget the Bath-aides, they're amazing too. Kitchen, Maintenance and Therapists. They all work hard to make the residents feel better and more comfortable in what could be a stressful situation as they process this chapter in all of our lives. Personally I have my absolute favorites, that I wouldn't trade for anything.

This place is an absolute answer to prayers. They care about the residents and their guests. Never under staffed. Food is excellent. Level of care outstanding. Very responsive and attentive to all of my Mom's needs. ❤️ UPDATE: A year at this home and I can tell you nothing has changed (praise the Lord 🙌). This is the most wonderful home with the most caring, diligent staff. We continually thank the Lord that we were blessed to find Winthrop.

Winthrop Health and Rehab was home to my mother for about 15 months. The staff was amazing and so caring. The relationship that I built with administration and the wonderful receptionist, Stephanie will always hold a special place in my heart. The activity directors are such angels! When there were activities that mom could participate in, they always made sure she was there. I have many memories of craft time, bingo and card games. My mom was always clean, fed, and taken care of to the best of their ability with the condition she was facing. At the time of her departure to her forever home the medical staff was quick to bath her, dress her in fresh clothing and have her beautiful for us family to be with her until hospice arrived. Picking a facility for a loved one is difficult, but knowing my mom was at the best place in Rome made it easier.
