What an amazing place. My dad stayed here for about 15 months. He got a rocky start the first few days as they learned how to take care of him. But, he developed amazing loving relationships with employees and residents. It was such a hard time for him and our family. People here made it better. We are so grateful for the love and care they gave my dad. I don't think you could get better care at any price. Our family will be indebted to those who took such loving care of my dad, Roy Gerber.

I, like many Alzheimers spouses, was defeated and brought to my knees by this disease. After seeking much information from medical professionals for myself, I finally realized I had no choice but to admit my kind and wonderful husband to a nursing home. After searching numerous facilities, my daughters and I “hit the jackpot.” The William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home is filled with love, wonderful care and a lot of laughter and joy. Treats are given whenever our Veterans want them and good, healthy meals are provided. All personnel are top notch. The cleaning of the facility is an on-going process. Never have I felt disappointment with the Cleaning Crew, they work so hard and are cleaning all the time. I don’t believe the Activity and Recreation Departments could ever be better; i.e., motorcycle groups entertaining, mini horse visits, canyon bus rides, lunch rides to various restaurants, bus to State Fair, Luau Lunch & Luau Dancers, BBQ’s, painting rocks, woodworking, many games, singers, pianists and exercise. The Veterans are being watched and entertained almost every minute of the day. Speech Therapy is also provided to help my Spouse with his Aphasia disease which is so helpful. The Speech Therapist is so patient and kind to him. The Courtyard is beautiful. It is a peaceful place to have a one-on-one talk with your loved Spouse. I cannot begin to express how professional and kind the Nurses and CNA’s are attending to your loved Veteran. They seem to have eyes in the back of their heads. They are so fast and attentive they get ahead of a problem before it is about to happen! They are so amazing and I am very proud and thankful for them. Did I mention, I now have around thirty Veterans that I love! William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home is indeed the “Best of the Best.”

Amazing facility, always clean and smells great, so many amazing therapeutic opportunities offered to the residents, I have not walked into any unit and not seen all the residents smiling. Staff are incredibly attentive, respectful, and professional. From top to bottom this facility was outstanding and I enjoyed everyday of being there.
