Cleanliness is a major concern. The guest restroom was dirty. In addition to a ring around the toilet and the filthy floor, the trash can was overflowing onto the floor. Clearly no one cleans the restroom on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the patient restrooms are worse. There was a black substance around the toilet in the floor and in the tiles in the shower. Again, it’s apparent that the place is not cleaned regularly.

This place is a joke. The rehab part anyways. They were going to let my grandmother lay all night long without pain medication after she broke her hip. I go and pick it up from the pharmacy myself, come back and she’s halfway hanging off the bed. There are no rails and she said felt like a bar was in her back, the bed was so old. There were fleas or gnats or some kind of tiny bugs in the floor and on wall. The bathroom was so gross, I wouldn’t even use it. Looked like a gas station bathroom. They never even did her check-in assessments . Head nurse was telling coworkers she’s fed up and quitting where everyone could hear. My grandmother was there less than 16 hours before we called an ambulance to pick her back up.

Every time I visit Westwood, I'm amazed! From the moment I walk in until the time I leave, the staff is friendly and welcoming. And, they aren't just treating me with respect; I can see how much they care about their residents. I’ve seen staff take the extra moment to talk with, comfort, and assist residents—not because they have to, but because they want to. If I needed skilled nursing care in this area, Westwood would be my first call!

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Westwood Rehab Center for the care provided to my grandmother. The CNA staff and leadership team were excellent and maintained consistent communication with our family regarding her daily progress. I truly appreciate their dedication and highly recommend their services.

This place is terrible. I would give it a zero if possible. The good reviews are false. The administrator pays people to put positive reviews up. That is why no one ever uses their loved ones names. This facility get grievances daily that never get reported. They work with a limited number of staff that doesn’t meet the state or federal guidelines. Kemet Scott is a joke and the New DON Diane Besosa is an even bigger joke that I witnessed yelling at her staff and treating the patients even worse. They treat the patients worse than a prison treats inmates. Only allowing 2 showers a week for residents that are have urine and feces on them. And half of the time they are to understaffed to provide that. This place needs to be shut down. Or a new administration team needs to be placed in the building and make the other ones kick rocks. It’s sad to pay the amount of money I did to watch my grandfather be mistreated. I pray that one day each of these employees receive the care they provide. Or at least they have to watch their loved ones receive it. Karma is real!
