I had been taken there by the cops against my will to this horrible place on false allegations. I was not treated like a human but an animal. When you get there they make you take all your clothes off infront of them and I had to wear there clothes. I was so cold and I asked for a blanket and they did not give me one. I was there 1 week and the showers took so long to get warm it was awful. And everyone used the same shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. My roommate had put a woman in a headlock. I was so Traumatized by this place. And I will never forget while I was eating their gross food there were ants walking right by me. The said thing is that when I lefted this place they took me off of all my meds that were helping me and put on new meds that did help me at all but just doped me up. When I got out of this horrible place I wouldn't talk to anyone thinking that I could not trust anyone. And the sad part about it, is that River Valley C.S.U. put me in there over false allegations saying I was going to kill myself which I never said. And on top of that they didn't tell my husband where they took me too. He seen me 2 or 3 days later and I was still in there clothes until my husband said something. All I can say is that this place a very horrible horrible awful and disgusting place with staff that could care less about your well-being. I swear I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to go there. This place needs to be torn down and condemned. And I will do everything to make this happen so others will not go through the Horror I went through. NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED WORSE THEN A ANIMAL. I will be the mouthpiece for others that cannot speak up for themselves that are put in these kind of Horrible and Unlivable places where one should be staying. Sad thing is some of them they are doing this against their will and some of the psych patients don't even make it out alive to see the world. They end up dying in these horrible places with people that are so cruel and calacus. Im just so blessed to be one that made it out to tell of my own personal horrible and traumatic experience I endured while there for a week.

On the unit I was in, it was a “stabilization” or “crisis” unit. We barely had tv. We had nothing but coloring. I. Hate. Crayons. We had nothing else. We had no therapy except initials and final meetings. How are we supposed to get better? They sedate you for anything. They make you wear THEIR clothes…I don’t want to wear someone else’s granny panties but Ty. Food is pretty gross. They still use restraint chairs. When I was there they were letting this girl in a wheelchair flop unconscious everywhere too. They let multiple men harass me and one tried to assault me. Genuinely thought one of them was going to hurt me Had a 1:1 and shit was so annoying. Watching me shower is REAAAALLLY gonna make me love life. Sarcasm in case that didn’t convey. Dont go here. Go to the hospital in Paducah that has beds.

If could give zero stars it works be 0. This facility cost my brother years of real help, treatment & guardianship. He’s is incompetent & they had in some records no mental illness! They released him even after court order 360 days after 3wks! He couldn’t get a guardian bc Drs wouldn’t say incompetent but KCPC Drs did! If my family member wouldn’t been at a different facility he wouldn’t be in the condition he is in now. Judge subpoenaed staff after seeing report as he knew they had fraudulent documentation.

I was there for a short time 3 or 4 days. It is absolutely terrible the women's shower you have to literally push against the wall to get barely any water. That isn't the worst thing though of course but it's super annoying. No the worst thing is the staff are absolutely awful and so rude they cuss at the patients and don't care about you at all. They weren't the rudest to me now I will say but I constantly had to hear them and patients cussing out each other and being awful. They don't care about group therapy or taking steps for you to get better. This place needs to be shut down immediately.
