I recently moved my aunt to Westchester of Sunrise. I have only positive things to say about the nurses and care team. They are very competent and attentive. I can tell my aunt will be receiving good care and was at ease traveling back home. I also accompanied her to the dining room several times. The food is plentiful and home cooked - and she likes it! So far, so good!

Westchester of Sunrise is one of the best ALF facilities I've visited in many years. Their Director, Noemi, has managed all aspects of running this type of facility with great success. Their Activities Director, Maritza, is loved and relied upon by everyone. Residents say she's always supportive and always says yes to their requests...within reason of course. Their meals are healthy, delicious, and of a wide variety. The front desk is managed by Elda, is very patient and professional with all Residents. A great place for your family members.

Westchester of Sunrise has really turned a corner. Since the change in management, there’s been such a noticeable shift — in the atmosphere, the staff, and overall care. It feels brighter, more organized, and just more positive all around. The new Administrator truly cares about the residents and the team. She’s not just running the place — she’s building a community. There’s a real sense of family now, and you can tell the residents feel more supported and comfortable. If you haven’t visited in a while, it’s worth taking another look. The progress has been amazing.

Westchester of Sunrise is truly a wonderful place! The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like home. The Administrator, goes above and beyond to ensure that every resident receives the best care possible, and it truly shows in the happy and comfortable environment she has helped create. If you’re looking for a compassionate, professional, and family-oriented assisted living facility, I highly recommend Westchester of Sunrise!

I strongly advise against placing your loved ones at Westchester. The facility is severely understaffed, unresponsive, and unsanitary, with constant management turnover. My father fell and was left on the floor for over an hour because no one was around to assist him. When I call after 5 PM, no one answers the phone. If I could give zero stars, I would. The only redeeming factor is the handful of dedicated aides who do their best despite the poor conditions. To make matters worse, the facility has a bed bug infestation (see photo). I’ve called and emailed multiple times, yet no one has responded, and no exterminator has been sent to my dad’s room. The food service is equally concerning. Some nights, dinner consists of nothing but hot dogs. I question whether a nutritionist is even on staff, as my diabetic father frequently receives meals that are not appropriate for his condition. Westchester is failing its residents, and it’s heartbreaking to see. I urge others to look elsewhere for quality care.
