I am disappointed with my experience at TheKey in Fort Lauderdale. I previously worked for TheKey in another state and had a wonderful experience, which is why I was excited to rejoin the company. Unfortunately, my experience here has been completely different.<br><br>While not everyone I interacted with was an issue, I had a very disappointing experience with one of the care coordinators. I felt I was treated unfairly, and the communication and professionalism I experienced did not reflect the positive work environment I remembered from my previous time with TheKey.<br><br>I’ve been a caregiver for nearly 15 years and built an excellent reputation while working for TheKey in another state, so this was the first time I had experienced something like this.<br><br>Everything began after I was rehired and expressed that I was eager to be assigned a case. My goal was simply to build a positive working relationship so my care coordinator could better understand my availability and we could work together to find a case that fit both my schedule and the client’s needs. I wanted the opportunity to provide the compassionate care I’ve always been proud to give while being a dependable employee for TheKey.<br><br>Instead, I left the conversation feeling misunderstood, blamed, and unsupported. I was simply trying to communicate my availability and work together to find a case, but I felt the conversation was turned back on me as if I had done something wrong. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or move forward productively, I felt dismissed and left without a clear path forward.<br><br>It was discouraging to have such a different experience with a company I had once genuinely enjoyed working for. I hope this office takes employee concerns seriously and continues to improve communication and support for its caregivers.

Nellie at The Key has been my Mother in law’s case manager for the last 6 months and I give her 10 out of 10. She is always there to answer questions and to help with anything. She and her staff (aides) are professional and extremely caring. I highly recommend the Key and be sure to ask for Nellie.
