My husband was at Wellington for about 6 months after a stroke in July 2025. He arrived at Wellington on August 12 and from our first day to our last day there Cynthia, the social worker, was absolutely amazing. She answered any questions I had and found any answers she didn't already have. She truly helped in any way she could whenever asked and made my concerns her concerns. She went above and beyond for us from the day we got there to helping us transition out. Her kindness will never be forgotten. There were several people and I don't remember everyone's name but Tamara, Naomi, Jay and Lena were absolutely awesome; so was our favorite CNA - Angela! Angela could make him smile on his worst day! Can't forget Wesley in Physical Therapy! We moved closer to home a couple of weeks ago and he misses them dearly. Thank you to Ms. Belinda for your kindness, the front desk staff who were always so pleasant. I know everyone's experience is not the same but I'm so thankful that ours was good. While there's always room for improvement with things like staffing and laundry, most of the staff I encountered took good care of my husband and always encouraged me to take care of myself. I know I didn't name everyone, but thank you ALL for making the hardest time in our lives more bearable.

BEWARE! BE CAREFUL! THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP!!!! There are some good staff members here but they are always understaffed. They force CNAs to cover 15 or more residents by themselves. It's all about the MONEY. ONE DAY HERE AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND. The residents are NOT taken care of like they should be. Many go without baths and much more. Staffing is horrible. I have seen residents sleep with their purses on!! They dont feel safe. Their is no hot water on many occasions. Please be careful if you are considering placing your loved one here. There are also issues with plumbing. Clogged up commodes. It's horrible!! There are some good staff members here. However, this place needs HELP!! Alot of HELP!!! It's also really old and run down!!

My mother is currently at this facility. The building is always clean, and most of the employee's are really nice. The administrator is very understanding, and the SW is always pleasant and professional. She is the reason I leave my mother in the facility, and the activities lady is also great. My problems starts with my mother lack of care. My mother showers, bath, missing medications time, being told there is little staff as an excuse, and the attitude of some of the aides when talking to the patients. The management in the nursing department is poor. You can never get a straight answer out of them when asked about my mother's care or medications. The head nurse is never there, and her assistances seems to not know what they are doing. I visit my mother daily after 5 and see the staff either on their phones, just sitting at the station or no one on the halls at all. I spoke with the head nurse (Jessica) once and decided after that i would rather not anymore. Her attitude alone was so nonchalant and rude to my concerns about my mother care. All I heard was excuses from her. I just want my mother to receive the care she needs why she is there. Please Please check in on your love ones often.

My father Paul Walker has been a client at Wellington Nursing & Rehabilitation for several years, Mrs Cynthia his social worker and Nurse Belinda have been amazing through this journey with my dad Especially as I live several states away. They have been so compassionate and helpful, they truly have been GOD sent. Now, where things have taken a turn is recently there has been a switch in Charge nurses, and the new charge nurse’s name is Jessica Herring, she has not been at Wellington more than two months. I received a call from her about 2wks ago almost demanding that I make a decision regarding my father’s medical treatment. She stated he wasn’t eating and drinking and almost in my opinion demanded that I make a decision regarding putting him in hospice and making a decision ( over the phone) regarding do not resuscitate vs resuscitate. I communicated that my family would be driving down the following weekend to evaluate my father’s medical status myself and speak with some of the other staff in observation before making such a life and death decision regarding someone’s life. Ms. Herring was so pushy and what I deemed as desensitized it gave me anxiety the whole week before the trip to North Carolina. Upon arriving, and speaking with the social worker, other floor nurses that routinely care for my dad and CNAs and evaluating my dad myself, he wasn’t eating and drinking as much because he really does not care for the food selection. No sooner than I brought food in from outside vendors he was eating and drinking pretty well, and very alert and sensible. I DO NOT feel at ease or comfortable with Ms. Herring overseeing this facility or its clients. She has not been in this establishment or environment to make a fair assessments of the clients here. I have requested to hear from corporate on this matter.

My time at Wellington has been amazing to say the least. The staff is always welcoming especially the aides and the nurses. Jay is a exceptional wound care nurse. Vee and Ricky always comes to check on me every morning. Abil is so sweet and kind. Lena always greets me with a smile, and KeeKee has a great heart and keeps me laughing. I will miss them all and I wish them all the best.
