Ashley, Holly, Allison, and Allison are the GREATEST CNA's. They are patient and kind. They understand our needs. They always put better face forward on the worst of days.

I have to brag on the care this team of staff gives to the residents. I witnessed something Ive never seen in any other facility, during a resident activities outing that truly defines teamwork and shows that the staff have passion for the care of the residents and that is what it's all about. Great staff who know how to pull together!

If I can give this place a zero I would. But had to give it a one to write a review. Moms stayed for 5 days, I went up to this place and I only seen two people on the floor and they was playing around and no residents was being attended to. All those patients there and no one need help? As I walked to mom’s room, looking in other rooms people looked dead and out of it. Place is poorly ran. The so called head nurse on duty act like she will help and make sure your loved one is taken care of, until you walk out the door, then nothing. I sent ensures for moms to drink once a day. When I went in her room, they was in her bag. I asked that head nurse why she not getting her ensures as I instructed? She grab one of the ensures and said she will write moms name on it so they would know to give it to her once a day, and she also said she will write it down in the instructions for the CNA’s. All her ensures was in her bag when she got home, second, they took her teeth out her mouth, and I had to drive up there to get them because they never came back home with moms. When I got there to pick them up, it seems like all staff was at the front desk include that head nurse talking and playing around and gave me my mothers teeth rudely. The head nurse seen me, and then turned her head.. didn’t even speak, we all know why.. smh. Never again, my mother came home in horrible shape, dehydrated, lips so dry, eyes was burning, and she stunk like crazy.. never got a bath. The smell was so bad, i immediately put her in the tub. It took me 2 days to get her back to normal.. feeding, water, vitamins, ensures and care. This place need to be shut down, this is a facility of abuse.

My mom wss in this a facility and i must say i am very impressed. The staff is caring and did there due diligence in taking care of my mother. The doctor and nurses looked out for her medical needs. Her dietary needs were met and the therapy that was provided was excellent. I highly reccomend walnut cove.

Please don't send your family to this facility!!! They don't have the doors locked on a regular basis and their is no one there to answer the phone. When I visited the facility it was too easy to get in and no one was at the desk to have you sign in or out. The bed was so old and it was shaking. It took the nurse several hours to come to the room once my family member was brought there so she was in a wheelchair chair way too long. They had animals there and young children just running around. A patient greeted a family member instead of the office person. They seemed to be very short staffed and the two CNA's that came did the best they could. The RN waited on the CNA's to come put my family member in the bed instead of doing it herself. The nurse didn't seem to care about patients and she was on her cell phone. The person that transported my family member had to go to the front desk and ask them to send someone to the room. It felt like the staff has not been trained to care for Alzheimer's patients. My loved one had Alzheimer's and they didn't listen to the family caregiver who explained her care plan. I called the night before to speak with the nurse and I was told that she was taking care of a patient in crisis. I asked them to have her to call me back and that never happened. The phone call was made that our loved one passed away the very next day. They never followed the contact list because they only called the first name on the list. We will never know the true time or day when our loved one actually passed away. I really suggest that you not leave your loved one at this place, but if it's the only place you can afford be sure to have someone check on the every day. Ask questions and make sure your loved one is given the best care.
