Always understaffed , no programming for residents they wander around or sleep in chairs, no one monitors or helps those you have difficulty using a fork eat no supervision in dining room someone can choke,rooms and bathrooms not cleaned smells of urine. They put clients to bed at 6:00 to avoid having to attend too them. They use medication to quiet or control clients . Place is poorly run have had two directors in 1.5 years, countless staff changes , staff sit around playing with their phones and never have answers to families questions , do not take your loved one there they will go from independent to dependant very quickly run don’t walk away and find another place!’

I wanted to share what a wonderful experience. My family had at Vista Lake. Tish, the Director of nursing and her care team performed exceptional care. Greg, the administrator was always very attentive to our needs and miss Denise was always available. Every time I called or texted her. I would highly recommend considering Vista Lake for your loved ones. You will not be disappointed.

I just saw Christina’s review, and I agree. I went there to visit my mom on a surprise visit. I used her bathroom and saw used adult diapers piled high in the garbage can, and I couldn’t breathe because the urine smell was so bad!!! Also, I bought her beautiful adult coloring books and a huge box of colored pencils for her to relax to. The next day they were gone. I talked to someone there, and she said, “Oh, another patient probably took them.” REALLY!?!?!? This also happened with boxes of candy.<br><br>IF this was the case, this shows a total lack of supervision!!! No one’s privacy should EVER be invaded ESPECIALLY when you are paying and trusting others to take care of your loved ones!!!!

My mom spent 10mths in the memory care unit…<br>My brother had right of attorney, otherwise, I would have taken her out ASAP! Unfortunately, she died under their care…<br>The room always smelled like urine; My mom said she was abused(she suffered from dementia, so take that into consideration); Gifts she received, were always missing…even the next day, & the staff blamed it on the other patients; Very depressing atmosphere!<br>I had no choice, & couldn’t move her…<br>Please don’t put your love one(s) in this place!<br>If I could help even just one person, this review is worth it! 🙏<br>Betty (Aug 2022’ - May 2023’)
