Memory Care

Placing a parent or loved one in a memory care community can be heart-wrenching decision. Family members naturally want to keep those they love close, but as memory loss progresses, the challenge of providing care can become overwhelming.

Vista del Lago provides a place where a new phase of life can begin for those with memory loss. With a network of people at their disposal around-the-clock — including highly trained caregivers and nurses, activity directors, chefs, launderers, and housekeepers — those in our care enjoy greater comfort, security, and social enrichment than was possible at home. This network of caregivers and fellow residents creates a community of familiar faces and compassionate friends.

Short-Term Care

Vista del Lago Memory Care offers convenient short-term respite care services at an all-inclusive daily rate. During a short-term stay, residents will receive the same amenities as our long-term residents who proudly call Vista del Lago home.

You might consider short-term respite care when you need:

• Support after a hospital stay
• Continued short-term rehabilitation after a skilled nursing stay
• A place to stay when an emergency has made your home unsafe or uninhabitable
• A temporary living arrangement while your caregiver takes a vacation or break
• A trial-run to experience what Vista del Lago has to offer. This is a great way to see how you fit in with the residents here before you decide to become a full-time resident

WHY CHOOSE US

About Vista del Lago

At Vista del Lago Memory Care, you’ll find a free-standing community dedicated solely to supporting and caring for those with a memory diagnosis. I am remiss to thank the team at Vista del Lago. Dad is a relatively new community member. Transitions can be hard to navigate when dementia is a factor. My brother and I are truly thankful for this team and impressed every week. I will let the photos do the talking, but I must thank several dedicated team members and everyone that brings so much empathy and initiative to help our family, and treats Popps with such dignity and patience day and night. Thank you Rosa and Erik. Thank you Daniela, Rebecca, Laura, Summer, Imelda, Lucinda, Hanna, Thomas, and Antonio. Thank you William for your help with Dad's new hand rail setup. AND Thank you Valerie for assembling and leading such a committed, cheerful and uplifting team. From reception to every corner and activity room and every space. Love being part of your community. Love the recognition you bring to everyone but especially veterans. Families notice. Today's dining experience with what must have been a hundred community members and families as guests was a Showstopper! Popps dressed up in a new sweater, brushed, shaved and arrived and was blown away. The hostess and reservation treatment getting seated with the nice card was perfect. The musician! Dad noticed and grinned from beginning to end. He made a new friend in Mary and ate every bit of his soup, salad, meal and desert. Even got extra hydrated with help from a nice young man and young lady bringing refills and making Popps and family feel special from start to finish. And notably aside from today and any number of super interactions, I must commend your care and med team members for their disciplined and empathetic communication. I always know how Popps is doing whether I visit personally or rest and listen to your team from afar. Looking forward to our time with Popps and the team at Vista del Lago. Thank you for having us.

March 2026

My husband spent over 4 years at Vista del Lago Memory Care facility. In that time, I've seen a lot of improvements among which: Improved care, more attention to each resident. Attention to what residents eat tailored to their needs. Residents being helped with feeding by the caregivers on a one-to-one basis. Upgrades in activities. Upgrades to the building. And especially important, appreciation for the staff.
You can imagine how intense it is for care staff to be responsible for a group of people that all have their individual care requirements. I have great admiration for all staff. Whether they are the people responsible for the cleaning, the laundry, the caregiving and making sure that a resident eats, gets showered, gets changed because they soiled themselves or gets the right medication or the responsibility of engaging and thinking of activities for the residents at a large variety of capabilities.
They have been responsive to issues my husband or myself brought to their attention. They are doing their best to make a loved one feel welcome for a visit in these demanding situations.
When he passed, I was given emotional support and respect by the care staff, acknowledgements, and hugs. It meant a lot to me.

Vista Del Lago is an amazing community with the best care staff. Laura, a med tech, was incredibly helpful when I needed assistance and went out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of. She always greets me when I visit, and I truly appreciate her kindness and dedication. Thank you, Laura!
