We had Jessica help out my parents during the recovery of a surgery of my father. She was able to help my parents with light house work and grocery shopping which was invaluable for all of us. Thank you Jessica and Visiting Angels!

Unfortunately, the actions of Visiting Angels of Rockford have instigated estrangement between my father and his children -- myself and my brother. Both my father and stepmother are not physically well, and not of sound mind. They are cognitively impaired by dementia, paranoia, and long time addictions that have addled their brain. After things reached a crisis point, their healthcare provider would not release them from hospital without a plan for home care. Visiting Angels were employed to cover this. As mental health kept declining, my stepmother took measures to keep my brother and I out of the picture, even though we have been attempting to care for and help them for years. We were shut out and told that the Visiting Angels were all they need and that we should stay away. My brother and I have had a very good relationship with our father, this was uncharacteristic and most certainly a sign of dementia and stepmother's machinations to keep us out. Since we were shut out, both my brother & I made occasional phone calls to Visiting Angels, maybe once a month at most, to check in on how things were going, and express concerns that we had about their health. I was horrified to discover that the care coordinator was calling my stepmother after these phone calls to tattle on us! This is a breach of my privacy and very unprofessional. Surely, Visiting Angels is aware of the cognitive state of my parents and yet, they ignored that, went behind our backs and reported my brother and I for being meddling. At no point did Visiting Angels tell me when I made these calls, they would be reporting back to my parents. They did this secretly and without our knowledge and consent. This is a serious violation, and its lucky I don't have any money, otherwise I'd hire an attorney to sue you. My father, in a heightened state of dementia, lashed out at me, became violent, (luckily didn't physically try to hurt me), and treated me like I was some sort of degenerate who was trying to upend his life simply because I was concerned and checking in with the service that he now regarded as more important than his own children. He & my stepmother have shut down all contact and we are now estranged -- all as a result of Visiting Angels making secretive phone calls to tattle on well-meaning children who only wanted the best for their parents. You should be ashamed of your behavior, and someone should have lost their job as a result. I would never recommend this Visiting Angels franchise, unless you want to lose contact with your parents. **Writing again to follow up to the Visiting Angels response to my original review a few weeks ago.** At no point did I ask for confidential HIPAA protected information when contacting your agency. In fact, I made a point of saying to your staff that I understand they can't share personal information but that I am calling to share MY concerns. And, no, you did not act in accordance with professional standards. A professional would have clearly stated to me upon my first phone call that you will be reporting back to my parents about every call I make to your agency. Your lack of transparency is troubling. Furthermore, my parents state of mind and cognitive abilities are compromised by their dementia & addiction, so you should take what they say with a huge grain of salt. And further, if you were truly concerned with their safety, you would respect the concerns of family members. You have prioritized a flawed client directive over the overall safety and best interest of the client... this is a nuance that perhaps you cannot appreciate due to your lack of professionalism, ethics, and competence. There is a bigger picture here that you are not seeing or respecting.

Vivian and linesha helped our father so much. They were on time, caring, knowledgeable, and flexible time wise. We couldn't have completed our father's post stroke rehab without their tremendous amount of help. They had the night shift with a man that had tested their strength at times, and they passed with flying colors! I would truly recommend them to any family or friends!

My 97 year old aunt has moved in my house with me and has been with me now for 11 months. We recently signed her up for Visiting Angels to come in on Monday and Friday mornings to help her get ready for the day and to give me a break. We LOVE them! We have had great experiences with both JESSICA and HEATHER. My aunt loves them both and she is not easily pleased. I would recommend this service to any and all inquirers. Thank you. Thank you. I love working with Visiting Angels. The team does a wonderful job helping my aunt with a variety of needs. Diana and Tara are great to work with and take wonderful care of her. She would not be able to live on her own without Visiting Angels. They are a true partner, and I would be lost without them. They are very responsive, helpful, kind, patient, and understanding. They also do a great job of communicating any concerns so we can address it right away. I love working with my case manager Justine. I highly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone looking for extra help with their loved ones.
