I again have experienced another horrible stay through the eyes of a friend who was once again placed here. The food is disgusting, the care sub par, facility filthy and the medication management inconsistent and non-existent. Medication is distributed with little concern for consistency of the amount needed by the patient and also they stated that they would allow the patient their voting rights as an American citizen and they denied that also. Maybe getting the Ombudsman in on it again, the ADA being notified, the Minnesota Secretary of State and their local congress representative would be just a start for this so called care facility. My friend has no voice in this and is threatened at every turn. I will not stand silent and NO human being should be put in a facility that should have been closed a long time ago!

My brother was in this place for way too long. He died six years ago and I am sure I added a review, it is gone. If I could give this place a negative 10 I would. My brother kept getting infections and his care was substandard. I was trying to find a different place for him and the week I found one, he died. I came to clean in his room. There was black mold growing in his dresser table next to his bed. Books on the book shelf had not been dusted in years. They were solid scum. I had to thrown them all away. I could go on and on and on. Better to live in a shelter than this place.

I'm currently at Victory Health and Rehabilitation and the only reason I came here was for my husband and I didn't realize what I was getting myself into . Upon my arrival I came to the room my husband was in and his bedding was full of his drainage bag fluid, it wasn't just a little bit and wasn't addressed til I got here and the director of nursing finally got someone in to change his bedding. Then he ends up in the hospital and before he left he couldn't breathe the nurse left him in the bathroom without supervision while my husband's trying to yell for the nurse while he's on the toilet ready to fall off when the nurse could've pulled the help string for help assisting him instead of standing there trying to argue with me. Then I go to unpack some of my things a few days later and there's mice feces in my bags and wholes from them biting through my bags. I reported it to the directors and said they would get it taken care of. But still not taken care of. Now I got bit up and caught a bed bug crawling on my bed and I smashed it and let the nurse know and one of the other workers know, and said he would let maintenance know ??? My doctor's okay with me being at home and I'm trying to get discharged due to all these flaws going on and they won't let me go . I have an open wound and I don't want anything that this place isn't addressing affecting my healing. I caught infection in my foot from being here not changing my bandages or getting the care I should be. I have taken pictures and had a nurse say out of sarcasm to call the state. They have call lights that stay on for longer than an hour many times. Residents calling out for help after waiting so long. I was smoking a cigarette with a female here and another worker was there as we came inside the female I was smoking with passed out and hit her head on the floor hard. People went for help and everyone running around with their heads cut off while she lay on the floor not breathing and a nurse yelling for oxygen and other nursing yelling around they brought oxygen tanks that didn't work twice while she's laying there they didn't start cpr til she'd been laying there for minutes, mind you they had to go to another Residents room to get a working oxygen tank... these people here showed that they did not have protocols in tact. When I first came here the nursing director was very welcoming along with the Director until some time passed that the nursing director's rude way came about. Most definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Had I known all these things going on I wouldn't ever consider coming here. Along with the doctor that keeps messing with my medication that my doctors orders keep getting changed. I get around good enough to be at home and all the workers chasing me around talking about you can go EMA and your not taking the wheel chair rather then helping me they where all standing around me trying to intimidate me. The social worker and director of nursing wouldn't help me and kept me running in circles with them both. .

I gave Victory Health a five star rating and this is why. I came to Victory Health needing medical help and rehabilitation. Since coming here, I have received help for all my medical concerns from amazingly, kind nurses and staff. The Administrator has assembled a large group of professional, caring and capable staff that takes care of my every need and my social security/Medicare covers all my expenses. The nurses and doctors provide remarkable care and make me feel like I am special and my needs are important. My physical and occupational therapists are some of the kindest, knowledgeable and personable specialists that gently nudge me to do the program established to enhance the quality of my life. There is an amalgamation of people here requiring different care, yet they are all treated well and it manifests a healthy, kind and positive environment. There are games, entertainment and fun activities that help pace the day and rooms for resting or watching television on very comfortable beds and a bathroom. Showers are accessible 24 hours a day with staff willing to help when needed or required. Handicapped seating is in the shower for an array of disabilities with towels, wash cloths, soap and shampoo provided. The food is surprisingly good and offers well balanced meals to support any medical condition. They also offer alternate meals and snacks 24 hours a day. I was especially impressed that the administrator is actively involved, working with staff and clients to make sure things are as well as possible and holds a higher standard for this establishment. People in pain, disabled and lonely can be trying at times, and it was interesting to see how the staff are patient, kind and understanding and also how the staff join together as a team and support each other as a cohesive team. This and more is why I gave a five star rating.

My father who is bound to a wheelchair currently lives here. He said they take all his money. I work a lot so i don’t visit much but I do have siblings and other family who visit and pick him up so he can spend the weekend out. I visited him once and the place stinks, they don’t bathe him, the social worker lady acts like she cares about his well being but you can clearly see she doesn’t that lady gives me not so good vibes. Just weird. Anywho, I advise people not to send their loved ones here. If this is your last resort and the person can take care of their own basic needs then maybe.
