Very, very poor communication and no consideration or concern for family members and keeping all parties in the loop with their loved one's condition. The inability to reach residents because the NF doesn't provide land lines in the rooms is a HUGE gap in care ,especially for the family who lives out of town. I may call the state ombudsman 's program due to other concerns and issues. Unfortunately, my mother was in long term care for a short time at VanCrest. She started to decline the night prior to her passing per the nurse that called me the next morning, and no family was called until it was too late. My mother reportedly fell out of her wheelchair per report of the nurse who called me stating " we took your mom to the bathroom and put her in the wheelchair, and when we went to check on her, she must have slipped out of the wheelchair and fell onto the floor and was unconscious laying on her side, so we decided to put her back onto the bed" My mom was private pay and for 9 thousand dollars a month, they provided sub-par care. AND NOT EVEN AN EMAIL OF CONDOLENCES FROM THE FACILITY. Cannot recommend at all. Laura Silette Ferrero

The VanCrest phone system is poor, and it’s very difficult to reach a patient/loved one, particularly in assisted living section. No staff answers the phone calls and you’re forced to leave voicemails that are never returned. This isolates patients from communicating with their family members.
