Allow me to say to the person who left a negative review about Colonial; clearly your out of touch with what goes on in LTC. Colonial has to manage clinically difficult patients with numerous comorbidities using very few dollars, and they have to work with families who have loved ones who are frail, elderly or infirmed. The staff at Colonial are genuine, have served in this facility with longevity 4 times that of the national average. I know first hand about the competing priorities these facilities face and they have taken care of my uncle like he was a "Kennedy". If you have $6k a month to pay for a private pay facility, I would be happy to show you a facility that will alleviate your concerns. My guess is you are confused with the facts while your mind was made up, CMS does not pay enough for a Phd to work as a nurses aide. Colonial does an outstanding job managing, caring and facilitating families, patients and constraints. Their nursing staff understands priorities, patients and care delivery, they are committed to serve with their heart. I wished they would have contacted law enforcement to help you comprehend they do more than required with very little to do it with!!! I would send my uncle here again and I thank the Lord Colonial is there to help patients like him. Try working for one day in a SNF that specializes in behaviors, general restorative care, sub-acute, or dementia care and then write your negative feedback. My guess is you would praise Colonial with all you have to offer. THANK YOU Colonial Nursing Center, thank your management, your staff, your department heads everyone who works there for the job you do and the patients you serve are clearly loved by your service and dedication.

Whoever left a 5-star review here is trash. The staff is incompetent and leaves family members for more than half the day unattended aside from breakfast/lunch/dinner. They even threatened to call the cops on someone for complaining about the service while I was visiting a family member. Hopefully they go out of business soon. Blame your city council members for allowing them to still be in business. Unless you want to send your family member out to pass away miserably, find another one.
