Valle Verde is much more pleasurable than I had hoped when I moved in. I knew it had a beautiful site removed from city hustle. However, its location is convenient for shopping and entertainment in Santa Barbara. I'm delighted to hear bird song when I walk and to inhale the scent of roses. Our large rose garden (approx 35 bushes) are coming into bloom. Unfortunately, these words don't convey how much I love it here.

Valle Verde is a wonderful place for many many reasons. I feel very lucky to have found it and to have been able to move here. The other residents and the staff have been very welcoming and have made it easy for me to get settled. The campus is beautifully landscaped, and the location in Santa Barbara is very convenient. All in all, I highly recommend it.

We moved to Valle Verde almost 8 years ago. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. As long time Santa Barbara residents we knew that Valle Verde was the only Life Plan Community we would consider. For me, it was the one-level living experience on a beautiful campus. For my husband, a retired physician, it was the reputation of the skilled nursing facility and his personal experience caring for his patients there along with the outstanding staff. The entire team, from the Executive Director, to the caring nursing team, to the grounds keepers and housekeeping team, all make you feel cared for and secure. The sense of community here at Valle Verde cannot be beat!

My husband and I moved here a few months ago and are so happy we did. Everyone (residents and team members) have been so welcoming to Mark, myself and our pets. We are relatively young and so glad we didn't wait to move here. There is so much to enjoy at Valle Verde and the surrounding community! Our one story cottage is just right for us and has a huge private court yard that all other communities lacked. The grounds (60+ acres!) are really beautiful with a private dog park and adjacent public park. We feel "at home" here. One year update! We are still so happy with our decision with moving to Valle Verde. I'm a gardener so I'm so happy with opportunitues to have input on the beautiful common areas via the Garden Committee as well as our large private couryards and foundation plantings. I'm also a retired professional potter and there's a HUGE ceramics center a short drive from campus. I have a paid membership there but anyone can take worshops or classes at this world class facility.

Where else in Santa Barbara would you find 62 acres of green, with beautifully tended gardens (several by resident volunteers), an orchard, trees everywhere and pathways through lovely single-level homes. Valle Verde feels like a neighborhood; Valle Verde is a neighborhood and I am so glad I live here.
